What a fantastic weekend at the International Soccer Symposium this past weekend at the Ritz Carlton / JW Marriott in Orlando, Florida. Huge appreciation to Fred Dikranian President of ICS as well as Perry Vanderbeck and Juan Carlos Michia for the opportunity and hospitality. Great to present futsal (USYF) and indoor (MASL) too so many. Honored, humbled and proud to have presented alongside such great presenters featuring assistant coach of the Men’s Scottish National Team Alan Irvine, VP of Player Development Fred Lipka, and Dean Selvey Technical Development Scheme Project Manager-FIFA.
Now off to Costa Rica with our USYF International Teams. The journey continues!

Tomorrow on HBO the documentary of Pete Rose one of the best players to ever play in MLB will debut. Pete was my first professional owner in the MISL with the Cincinnati Kids and kicked out the opening ball in New York City, at Nassau Coliseum December 22, 1978 with the Cincinnati Kids versus the New York Arrows led by goalkeeper legend Shep Messing. Jeffrey Lenkov an attorney friend of mine from Los Angeles represents Pete and spearheaded the show and had Pete send me his jersey! Priceless! Thanks Pete and Jeff and looking forward to watching the show.

US Youth Futsal Kentucky State ID successfully completed and once again some great talent identified. This ends the State ID’s and now the National ID in Kansas City July 10-12. 500+ of the best boys and girls we have coached and identified since November for the next step of making the USYF International team’s. Youngest players will head to Costa Rica in August and the oldest to Barcelona in December. Also participating will be 50 of some of the best futsal coaches in the nation as well as referees.

Off to Wichita, Kansas for the US Youth Futsal Kansas State ID tomorrow Saturday June 22 and registration is still open.
Looking forward to going back as the Wichita Wings have such a rich history in indoor soccer in the MISL, NPSL and now M2. So many great coaches like Roy Turner and Kevin Kewly. Great players like 19 time MISL All Star Kim Roentvend, Eric Rasmussen, Jon Goosens and many many more. Hope to also see some Wing fans from the Orange Army as they are some of the most passionate fans to play or coach in front of.

USYF State Director and owner of Upper90 Futsal Academy/Rental Center Herald Zurita Cossio did a fantastic job organizing. Some great players moving onto the National ID in Kansas City July 10-12. The week started off last Sunday for game one of the MASL Championships in Kansas City, then Monday to Chihuahua, MX for game two, back to Milwaukee Wednesday then off today to Sacremento, CA for NorCal US Youth Futsal State Identification Trials hosted by USYF NorCal State ID Director James Kavanaugh of Futsal Factory. Through a lot of collaboration and teamwork we have been able to confirm that now Game Two of the Major Arena Soccer League Championship will also air on CBS Sports Golazo on Tuesday April 30. Thank you to all the parties that put in many, many hours this week to get this done. Both games starting this afternoon will be available in English on CBS Sports Golazo Network and in Spanish on Canela.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Kansas City today and Chihuahua tomorrow.

USYF Futsal Identification Program

The US Youth Futsal ID program identifies and develops elite players in a highly competitive and challenging environment through its Futsal ID State Trials. Top players from each identification trial are invited to participate in the USYF National ID trials for training and matches. The USYF International Teams are then selected from the National ID Trials and then travel internationally to play against some of the top youth teams and federations in the world. Recent trips have been to France, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Columbia and Costa Rica
FUTSAL ID Trials consist of two training sessions on defensive and offensive methodologies, 3 matches and afr available to boys and girls born 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 (14).
