Even running on little energy, I stayed up late to set up the twins’ birthday surprises so they could wake up amazed. Seeing their faces light up made it all worth it especially knowing we didn’t celebrate Christmas, so this felt just as special. Paw Patrol everywhere, breakfast made with love, cupcakes on top.

It’s still shocking that they’re three already. So many new adventures ahead starting school for the first time next year and eventually sports too. Watching them grow is the real gift.

The day before the twins’ birthday was all about them—and running errands. I got their hair braided, grabbed cupcakes for their daycare so they could celebrate while they’re there, and let them pick out any toys they wanted at Walmart since we weren’t doing an actual birthday party or Christmas this year. Their hair came out amazing, and the appointment was quick, smooth, and chaos-free, which made the whole day even better.

Our night routine is sometimes smooth, sometimes chaotic. Most nights, I just let it play out and take it all in. Watching my kids apply everything I’ve taught them brings me real joy. It reminds me that even when it feels like they aren’t listening, they’re always watching.

When people say they can’t do this or can’t do that with their kids, that’s not the full truth. It comes down to the energy you give and the capacity you build in them. Eventually, they’ll pick it up and show exactly what they were taught. When they say it starts at home, they’re not lying.
