By the time we get to the night routine, I’m convinced these kids are going to have me pulling my hair out. 😂 Because whew… as they get older, I’m already starting to see different attitudes and personalities coming through!

I’m a mom who believes kids should learn to be independent, so I definitely encourage my boys to do things for themselves and take responsibility where they can. But at the same time, I’m constantly going back and forth with them like, “Did I not just tell you to do that?” 😩😂

Parenting is really a balance between teaching them independence, setting boundaries, and trying not to lose your mind in the process. 🤣 But at the end of the day, I know these little moments are preparing them for the bigger things in life. 💙

You would think I’d be in full shape with how much I’ve carried up and down those stairs! And don’t even get me started on carrying TWO babies around in car seats. 😭😂

At this point, motherhood really has its own workout plan because WHY am I still not in full shape?! 🤣💀

We got the groceries, brought them home, and the Twins took over from there! 😂 They restocked the groceries themselves and put everything where it belongs.

Teaching independence starts at home. They’re learning that when we bring groceries in, we don’t just leave the bags sitting around we put everything away. 🥰👏🏽

My babies are growing up right before my eyes! 💙

Learning starts at home 🏡💙

Every morning, while getting ready for the day, I ask the Twins the same questions. How old are you? What’s your name? And other simple questions that I want them to remember.

I may switch the questions up sometimes, but for the most part, it’s something we do every single morning. Repetition is part of learning, and I want them to be able to answer confidently without me having to remind them.

These little morning conversations are just another part of our routine and another way I’m teaching my boys that learning doesn’t only happen at school it starts at home. 👦🏽👦🏽📚💙
