Hello friend,
There are four days left of the kickstarter for book, The Festival Of Devils And Deities. This was my first attempt and I feel I have gained valuable experience from it. This is the nature of trial and error after all. That being said, there are plans I have made in order to have a better shot at our next attempt. First, from the beginning, I have planned to start reading and reviewing books on my second YouTube channel; JustJoshingJay. There will be reviews of other kind as well as skits when they occur to me. My goal is to start regularly producing videos on that channel before the end of January. This way, you can see my taste in books as well as take a more active role in the community we are building should you chose. I would love to hear from you. Second, I plan to do research into marketing. I honestly believe you'll enjoy the world and characters I am trying to bring to life. Marketing is about clean communication. How can anyone know they're interested if I cannot properly convey the soul of my stories in the right locations? This is something I have already begun to grasp better through this first Kickstarter attempt. Last and not least for now, I have been working on the roughest draft of the last book that needs one. Currently, one book in the main series and four books in the Stories Across The Realms Collection have their roughest draft (first draft) completed. After I complete this fifth roughest draft in the Stories Across The Realms Collection, only three drafts need a polishing touch. After that is done, I will begin working with Beta Readers. That's another way you can take a more active role in the book's development, should you wish. It is worth noting; all Beta Readers who help develop these stories will have their name in the acknowledgements. It is only fair, no? Of course, even if you aren't selected to be a Beta Reader, your input is valuable to me. Feel free to share your thoughts and criticism of my story. I want these stories to feel as if you could live in them, use their magic, talk to the Deities. After working with Beta Readers, the second draft will have been completed. After that, I will take the second draft to professional editors in order to create and finish the third and final draft of the book. All three drafts will be available on my website as they become available and I have created a coupon system so you can purchase all three drafts of any given story without spending anymore than buying the fully published book alone. I want to share the progress and evolution of these stories with you and I want to give you ample opportunity to weigh in if the stories develops for the worst. Hopefully we'll never see that. I know this message was an essay so I've included the latest concept art I have gotten from a designer at GetCovers. If you skimmed this message, you have to look at it with one eye closed.
