A Back Yard Food Forest Story

Building a Sustainable Farm in a Ghost Town aint that easy when you dont have the right tools. known as Fort Lonesome 8 miles to the west is a gas station and if you travel to the east you can reach a corner store from my 5 acres. I am working on a 3 acre pasture area no longer just grass but mounts of mulch i was able to get from a company working in the area. behind my home i started my project using pigs to till and unearth what was under the ground. I was going to grow a worthy forest back there so i needed the place cleaned out. Now I am propagating most of those plants over to the pasture the food forest will start taking shape.

Lots of Plantain, Moringa, Mulberry trees, bay laurel, olive, cassava, tumeric, ginger, katuk, sweet potato, roselle, cassava, ... and so much more. I just jonny apple seed everything back there and it just grows.

this is how it starts you plant a few moringa and add a few cassava and bananas. some people plant in rows I just start seeding.
