Rob and I had been together for three years, and I was thrilled when he proposed. The wedding day felt like a dream—beautiful ceremony, perfect venue, Rob being his usual charming self.

MY NEIGHBORS THREW THEIR ROTTEN HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS IN MY YARD SO I WOULD TAKE THEM AWAY
The morning after Halloween, I left for work and was hit by a nasty smell. Rounding the corner, I found a pile of rotting pumpkins, dried-out cornstalks, and broken skeletons scattered across my lawn. Figured it had to be some prank… until I saw a note taped to one of the pumpkins:
"Figured you’d want the rest of the neighborhood's decorations too. Enjoy cleaning it up, since you love decorating so much."
I knew that handwriting: my neighbor Brenda. My blood boiled.
I marched over and knocked. Her husband Gary opened the door, smirk barely hidden.
“Any reason your junk is all over my yard?” I asked, barely containing myself.
Gary shrugged. “Well, since you’re the last one with decorations up, figured you could handle ours, too. Think of it as a ‘favor’ for the neighborhood.”

MY HUSBAND RUSHED TO THE DUMP AFTER LEARNING I THREW AWAY HIS OLD JACKET FROM THE ATTIC — I WAS SPEECHLESS WHEN I FOUND OUT WHY.

Me: I cleaned out the attic today. Threw out a bunch of old junk.

Him: WHAT JUNK?!
Me: Just some old stuff, why?
He immediately left the table, ran upstairs, and five minutes later came storming down, practically punching walls, yelling, "WHERE IS MY OLD SCHOOL JACKET?!" I told him I most likely tossed it with all the junk from the attic (IT IS WORTH NOTING THAT JUST A YEAR AGO, HE TOLD ME THAT THIS JACKET SHOULD BE THROWN IN THE DUMP ALONG WITH ALL THE OLD JUNK FROM THE ATTIC).
Him: THE DAY I MARRIED YOU WAS A CURSE!
He rushed out, jumped in his car, and sped off to the local dump. I followed right behind him.
