This week the Center for the Humanities is hosting an event to open the new exhibit on empire, water, and the portrayal of wet bodies in Hawaii, India, and Africa in KL 362 from 12-1 on Wednesday. As this event is historical in nature and falls precisely within our meeting time, we invite all of our members to attend that event rather than our usually scheduled meeting.

Hello Historians,
It's getting to that time of year when final papers are being assigned, especially in the history department. So come join the historical society in SSM 217 tomorrow, Tuesday the 5th, from 12-1:30 PM for essay help.
First, we will give an overview of Chicago style formatting and citations, essay structure, and some basic tips an tricks for writing.
Then we will open it up for general questions.
Finally, we will spend some time editing drafts and helping people draft theses and outlines. The room will also be available for anyone who wants to work on papers.

The historical society will be holding a meeting on Thursday from 3-4 in SSB room 120, where our very own vice president, Nathan, will be presenting on study abroad. Study abroad is a fantastic opportunity, and I encourage anyone who is interested in study abroad but is uncertain about how it will affect their graduation plan to come.

Hello Historians!
We are happy to announce that this Thursday the second of November we will be holding a Navigating the History Major event in COB 265 from 3-4 PM. History majors and minors, as well as anyone interested in the UCM history program are welcome. We will be discussing major requirements, prerequisites, when certain courses are offered, recommendations on when to take certain courses, and some tips and tricks for how to get the most out of the major while still graduating on time. We will also go over the history courses being offered in Spring to help you pick classes for next term.
