The 118th United States Congress concluded its term on January 3, 2025. During this period, approximately 49 Latinos, representing 12 states, were seated in Congress. At that time, the breakdown was six U.S. Senators and 43 Congressional members.
Latino numbers in congress have increased dramatically since 1950 going from one to 49.

INSIGHTS - Wealth
The total economic output, or gross domestic product, of Latinos in the U.S. reached $3.7 trillion in 2022
According to a report produced by the UCLA Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture U.S. Latino GDP grew faster than the GDP of any of the world’s top 10 economies, including China and India.
U.S. Latino GDP has been the third-fastest-growing overall since 2010.

INSIGHTS
Over half of U.S. Hispanic adults (54%) get their news in English, higher than those who prefer Spanish (21%).
A Pew Research Center survey stated that a quarter of Hispanic Americans (23%) say they enjoy news in both languages equally.
Nearly nine-in-ten (87%) say they get news occasionally from digital devices and 65% prefer it over TV, radio, or print.
Half of U.S. Hispanic adults say they at least sometimes get news from Hispanic news outlets. This includes 21% who say they do this very often.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey population estimates, in 2022 almost 65.3 million Latinos lived in the United States and Puerto Rico, representing 19.5 % of the total U.S. population.
The Hispanic population has grown faster than the nation's overall growth rate
The majority of Hispanics in the United States are of Mexican origin.
Newborns, not immigrants, have been the primary drivers of the recent growth in the Hispanic population.
FYI . . . The U.S. Census Bureau defines "Hispanic or Latino" as someone of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race.

Hispanic homeownership rate is closed to 50 percent, a key milestone. According to a report published by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, in 2023, the Home ownership rate for Latinos reached 49.5 percent, the largest increase in homeownership rate across racial or ethnic demographic groups compared to the year prior. She also made two appearances in American Horror Stories in 2021. In 2022, she starred as Bianca in the comedy film Sex Appeal. Later that year, she co-starred in the fantasy comedy film Hocus Pocus (2). In 2023, she appeared in the comedy-drama Sid Is Dead and the superhero film Blue Beetle.
