The Brave Ones is a new web series in development by Kendrick West.

It's been one year since Ba Kwaku died in an event that killed hundreds of other people in Memphis. Taking his last conversation from Kwaku to heart, Deacon West takes up his adopted father's moniker of Anansi, and begins trying to help stave off the crime wave that was left in the wake of the Riverside Event. Deacon's efforts have lead him to the culprits that have been flooding the streets with hi-tech arms and turning the more poverty stricken areas of Memphis into a warzone. Now Anansi aims to obtain evidence that some under handed dealing has been going down with one of the United States,' lead defense contractor and conglomerate.

What's good everyone?

Stuffed with turkey probably. I hope that everyone had a safe holiday.
For myself, in between stuffing my face full of turkey and dressing, I managed to finish the animation for episode 4. Now I'm just wrapping up some vfx, sfx, and some voicework.

In a few days, I'll be doing some experimenting with you guys by dropping a short comic strip of the epilogue of Riverside Hunt so a lot of questions that were left at the end of the episode will be answered in the comic.

Lastly, I'm proud to announce that Christopher Gulley, of Blerds Eyeview Podcast and Blerd Station fame will be voicing The Dark Alchemist in the latest episode. I wanted to get this guy in somewhere on the show after our interview a few months ago and as the fully VO'ed Alchemist just seemed like the right fit. You guys won't be disappointed either.

The Brave Ones Ep. 4 is coming along nicely. A lot faster too. Fast enough to where I won't have drop it parts but the episode will be a bit shorter I suspect.

Anyways, here is a still from the episode. Things are looking really bad for The Dark Alchemist and Anansi so far. People are starting to get hurt and the fight isn't ending soon enough. How do you all think they are going to stop anyone else from getting hurt?

Hey, everyone! Thanks for all of the support with the latest drop. I hope that you all enjoyed it. In a week or so, I'll releasing a video that combines both part 1 & 2 together so that you can watch the entire episode together. I did make a few changes to part 1 to make it more cohesive with part 2. I hope that you all enjoy it. In the meantime, if you haven't watched part two then go to my YT channel and check it out, comment, like, and share to everyone.

In the meantime, I'm currently working on Episode 4 and it is looking GOOD! Which leads me to a question... would you guys prefer I release the episode in parts so that I can get you more content sooner or would you rather have it as one whole release. If you'd like it in parts then Part 1 of Episode 4 can drop in a couple of weeks! If not then add a few more weeks on top of that. Let me know what you think.

As you guys may have guessed... I missed my own dang on deadline. Apologies for that. Just to update you guys, all of the animation and vfx is done for Part 2. The hold up has basically been getting the voice work done. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances, the completion of that work was delayed. Now, things are back on track again as the voice actors are hard at work getting their parts done.

In the meantime, I haven't just been sitting idley by. I've been working on a few things.
1) I've been hard at work on episode 4

and

2) I've been editing a version of episode 3 to where both parts 1 & 2 are combined together for those who want to watch them without having to switch vids.

What's up everyone?!

Its been a minute, I know. Sorry about the silence but I've been hard at work finishing up part 2 of Riverside Rumble. I am happy to say that the animation and sfx on part 2 is almost done. I'm thinking another week or two on that and then the voice work has to be done. So, realistically, we are looking at another 3 weeks, at least before the next part drops.

When it does drop, I will drop it as a standalone and I will also drop a version of Riverside Rumble that will have both parts 1 and 2 combined as one whole episode. Part one will be re-edited a bit as well.

Lastly, expect me to start posting more frequently as we get to the finishline. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I hope that everyone's holidays was safe and full of alcohol 😄 A new year is here so I figured that it's time for a new update on episode 2! First, I am pretty confident that I will be finished animating it in the next few days. I am shooting to release the full episode by the end of the month! Second, the runtime... as of right now, the run time looks as though it'll be around 15-16 minutes. I feel good about the pacing of all of the scenes. Hopefully, you guys will too! Lastly, I want to know what you guys think about me maybe uploading shorter videos instead of full episodes. If I do shorter videos then I can definitely upload more content for you all to watch, however, you won't be getting the a fully fleshed out story in each video unless you string them all together. If I do it this way, I will also release a compilation video after each episode is complete so that you can watch it in its entirety. If I stick to doing longform videos then I'll try to have new episodes drop every three to four months.
