In August, I embarked upon this amazing journey with Epicenter Memphis and their Good Food and Fixins program. I got the opportunity to learn and sit beside some amazing entrepreneurs, foodpreneurs and restaurateurs (my tribe). The program gave us the opportunity to be educated by major players in consumer packaging, branding, communications, finance, business development, planning, and strategy.

This wonderful program concluded last week with a pitch competition and of course my pitch was centered around packaging my grandma’s biscuits.💚

Well guess what the winners were announced yesterday and I won first place ($7500). I am beyond grateful and I can wait to use all the knowledge that was shared with me!!

Thank you Lisa Brown for creating and facilitating this worthwhile program in partnership with the Epicenter and Truist. 💚

When I wrote the business plan for Biscuits & Jams in 2020 prior to the pandemic, I knew in my heart what it could do and today it did just that. Sooo first I want to thank God and then I want to thank me. (You hung in there Monique and I’m proud of you girl!!!😭) Being an entrepreneur is not easy…it’s not for the weak at heart…but with hardwork, a good team, great partners who believe in your vision, and of course God on your side you can accomplish anything.
