As many of you know, I am working on a documentary called "True to the Faith". It's about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Last year, I decided to compose and perform the music for the documentary - due to music licensing costs and finding music to fit the script. After several months of learning how to use the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software interface, I finally have my first rough draft of music for the documentary. Keep in mind that there is going to be interviews and narration that will go over much of the music track. Even though there are a few minor glitches, I think it turned out pretty good. In the beginning, the nature sounds you hear I recorded in the Sacred Grove in Palmyra NY in May of last year. For those who don’t know about our faith, this segment is about a 14 year old boy in the 1820’s who went to a grove of trees to pray. What happened next was an event of biblical proportion.
So, what do you think of the music? Please leave your comments. It's amazing what you can do with a midi keyboard and a computer these days. Thayne. . . . .
