Natick is excited unveil a new Town logo, as part of a larger set of Brand Guidelines (incl: versatile logo suite, typography, color palette, & usage guides)!!

Town staff will work on the roll-out the town brand over the coming months, while leaning towards phasing out Town assets (eg. apparel) via an "end of life" strategy. ie. phase out the old logo/seal, as each asset warrants replacement.

šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ» The Communications Dept. would like to thank all who provided input along the way - Town staff, residents, & others! AND especially the designer who led the work - Eve Lenson (NHS c/o '15)!!

Town staff is looking forward to "seeing" & "hearing" what everyone says as they live with the town brand over time.

note: the Brand Guidelines is a complete set of deliverables (beyond the logo itself), and all interested parties are encouraged all to read through the full Select Board presentation (Wed 12/13/23) - https://bit.ly/natick-brand-guidelines-select-board-version

Guess what?!! Natickā€™s first Little Free Diverse Library, especially for childrenā€™s books, is now open at Connor Heffler Park (90 Oak Street, Natick)! SPARK Kindness is grateful to the many kind community members and partners who have volunteered time and talents and donated resources to bring the library to life with so much love and care! We invite everyone to enjoy its contents - and to help us keep the library vibrant by sharing your favorite diverse books, too! Post pics when you visit, let us know what youā€™re reading, and tag

ā€œThe books in this library invite the younger members of our community to find a story that offers a window into the experiences of another, as well as a mirror into themselves. The volunteers who created this library believe in the power of literature to break down barriers of race, gender, disability, class, and ethnicity. Diverse books can help create a kinder, more compassionate world in which all our children can feel a sense of true belonging while experiencing adventure, success, and the full range of human emotions.ā€

Thank you to Natick Recreation and Parks, Natick Public Works Department, Mass Cultural Council, Dacon Corporation and Middlesex Savings Bank!

To Ms. Morse, thank you for establishing this special library in Natick 150 years ago as a place for ALL! And, to all of the libraryā€™s stewards, staff and patrons over the years, thank you for caring for this amazing community resource. Dug Pond will be closed Friday, June 2nd for an alum treatment. The pond will be closed to all boating and other activities during the day while treatment takes place.

Alum is a nontoxic liquid commonly used to clear the water and improve water quality. It reduces phosphorus and algal blooms, and is expected to benefit water quality throughout the summer.
