Dear Community Members,
We want to let everyone know that our website is currently down due to a server issue caused by Hurricane Beryl. Many of you may be unable to access your profiles, and the site is not loading at all. Our team is working diligently to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Hurricane Beryl has left millions of Texans without power as dangerous heat descends on the region. Recovery and cleanup efforts are underway in southeast Texas, including the Houston area. Unfortunately, extreme heat is compounding the challenges faced by those affected.
The heat index in Houston passed 100 degrees on Tuesday, with both George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport reporting a heat index of 103 degrees. Air temperatures are expected to remain in the 90s through at least early next week. Prolonged exposure to such heat can cause serious health risks, including heat exhaustion and stroke.
We send our thoughts and prayers to the families dealing with the aftermath of this hurricane. Restoring power to hard-hit communities will be a multi-day undertaking, with some areas, like Galveston, potentially facing up to two weeks without electricity.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Please stay safe, and we will update you as soon as our website is back online.
