I went on three dates with a guy, and by the end of the first one, he was already head over heels in love with me. By the end of the second date, he was already ring shopping. And by the end of the third date, he was in total shock when I told him I wasn't ready to marry someone I had just met. He cried, and I had no idea how to handle the situation. We talked later, and I let him know that his clinginess was making me uncomfortable. I enjoy going on annual trips with my girlfriends, and I wanted to ensure that wouldn't be a problem. Of course, it was an issue for him, and he insisted that I couldn't go unless he was there too. His over-emotional and clingy behavior made me cringe.
