Bernard “Jimmy” Sephfus, 90, of Amesville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Rockland Ridge in Belpre.

He was born January 3, 1934, to the late Howard “Judy” and Emma (Kennedy) Sephfus in Plantsville, Ohio.

He was a Laminator Operator for 35 years at Kisor Aluminum in Belpre and attended Bethel Wesleyan Church.

She was born September 25, 1936, in Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of the late James Ray and Wava Casto Ray.

She was retired from Malta Manufacturing and a member of Tabor Ridge Church of Christ.

Jerry Dean “Weiner” Coleman, 63, of Stockport, Ohio, died on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 5, 1961, in Beverly, son of Richard “Dick” and Patsy McMillan Coleman.

Jerry graduated from Morgan High School and had been a carpet installer for 40 years. He was a Christian by faith and loved nature and being in the woods.

He was born April 1, 1931, to the late Dennis and Bessie Dailey.

A veteran of the USAF, he was retired from the Ohio Ferro Alloys after 35 years and farmed most of his life.

She was born December 13, 1925, in Malta, to Ed and Marie Raney.

She was a graduate of Pennsville High School. Jean was a lifelong member of Ohio Grange and belonged to several other clubs including the Bristol Ladies' Missionaries and the Never Silent Club. She loved animals and reading.

She was born October 2, 1929, in Middleport, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harley Pauley and Dessie Butcher Pauley.

Helen was a homemaker and had formerly worked as a cook at several McConnelsville area restaurants. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and working with flowers.

Wilda M. Wells, 95, of Malta, Ohio, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at the Riverside Landing Assisted Living Facility in McConnelsville, Ohio.

Wilda was born on May 21, 1929, to the late Charles and Mary Miller Campbell.

She retired from Glacier-Clevite, worked many years at the A&P Grocery stores until their closing, and served as the Clerk of Union Township for 16 years.

Come out this Sunday morning and show the marching band extra love as they head to the state competition! Way to go, Raiders!

The Marching Band will be performing at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 27 at Piqua High School!

The buses will pull out of the High School at 7:30 am Sunday morning. We would love to see people out in the streets sending them off in style! If you have window fronts on Main Street and could post a message supporting the kids, that would be awesome! If you can make it down to the square and cheer for them; that would be amazing! This is such an exciting time for our marching band and we want to make sure that we celebrate accordingly!!
