A vulnerable household must meet at least one of the following criteria:
☑️ A household with a member over the age of 60
☑️ A household with children ages 5 and under
☑️ A disabled household member

Interested applicants must provide:

🔺Proof of income and/or benefits
🔺Identification and proof of residency for every household member.

No traffic will be allowed through Laguna Heights. Port Isabel Pd will be stopping all traffic on Hwy 100 and rerouting everyone back towards Hwy 48. Laguna Vista Police will be stopping all traffic on Hwy 100 & FM 510 and rerouting all traffic towards Los Fresnos.

Emergency Weather Update
Highway 100 is closed at 510. Crews are working to clear debris and downed power lines. At about 4am, a tornado struck the Laguna Heights area. Multiple structures destroyed and injuries confirmed. Port Isabel Event Center is open for shelter.

Attention Drivers: East bound expressway is closed from Showers to La Homa. A gravel truck lost its load so expect a delay. TxDOT estimates it will take between 2-4 hours to clean up. First responders ask that you seek alternate routes. Be careful out there.
