The Central Iowan

The Central Iowan It's about the happenings here and there in Marshall County, Iowa and beyond. Yes, we're more than corn. Hash: Period. Lawson.

(I've become ill - I had to cut back on my work due to scoliosis, glaucoma, and a darn meningioma brain tumor, so bear with me.) ABOUT TCi

TCi is an online source (13+) for occasional happenings and upcoming in Marshall County, Iowa and neighboring areas. (Please have understanding as I heal from some physical circumstances. It is much appreciated. - trl)

If you want a happening posted, it must

be sent here or to [email protected] at least TEN days prior to the event (include as much information as possible - who, what, when, where, why and/or how). If that is not an option, you are more than welcome to personally post the info on the TCi page. TCi cannot guarantee that events sent within THREE days of the event will be posted in time of the event, as I work alone and may not be around, therefore if the event is held within 72 hours, please post the event to the timeline. COMMENTS/ C-FILTER
TCi adheres to a reputable standard involving two self-explanatory musts when it comes to comments/posting of which are non-negotiable:

- Treat others respectfully - race, creed, race, religion, SP FA, A-Support
- Low profanity - Please be respectful to others and in terms of profanity and purposeful insults, either/or which some may consider offensive. If using certain C words, your posts automatically go into a 'cuss' filter and won't be seen, not even by staff. TCI wants your opinions and views to be part of the rest. Do please understand that your opinion matters and you should be heard, figuratively speaking. However, if, in a nutshell, someone has to babysit your posts, "ain't nobody got time for that." As well, please check your posts prior to the assumption TCi has removed them manually. As nothing is fool-proof, there may be, on occasion, a glitch that a post will be filtered without any profanity within it. Make it known if there's a problem and we'll get it worked out. IMPORTANT COPYRIGHT NOTICE:
Individuals are more than welcome to share photographs displayed on this page, however none of the images on this site may be altered in any way and copyright removal of "©TammyRLawson" or "©TheCentralIowan" or any related TCI entity from photographs is prohibited. If a photo is posted, that means you are more than welcome to share - that is why it was made public. Copying, photographing or any other form of reproduction or distribution of prints is prohibited without written authorization. This is not a news or print publication a news station with editors of every sort and those who have asked, no, there is no affiliation with the T-R of which I used to freelance with. It's a page to be an eventual 'happenings' site run by one person, for the time being, while executing the jobs of many with little or no sleep. If, therefore, having to choose between working on something positive that is to be posted versus babysitting the comments, as it is, so you'll be sent home with a Hot Pocket. If room disruption becomes a continual part of the repertoire, that says you are not happy here and this detriment should be removed from your life as soon as possible. TCI is operated solely by Freelance Journalist/Photographer Tammy R. Lawson's work has been featured on news media and television in addition to various websites and print publications including those owned by the U.S. State Department - America.gov and eJournal Magazine, as well as the U.S. Army National Guard's GX Magazine and GXOnline.
