General information
My name is Chris “DJ Crazeehors” Horsfield. I have been a DJ since 1996. Music is my passion. It has been ever since I was a child. I was born in 1974 and got my first record player (Fisher Price – that came with it’s own plastic little records) when I was three years old. If I remember correctly, I got my first real record player at 5 years old and my first record was “Burnin’ Love” by Elvis Presley. It was a 45RPM record. At that time, little did my parents know, they created a monster. I fell in love with music and have since then listened to and fell in love with music of all kinds. In 1993, I worked for Burger King when the Philadelphia Phillies and Toronto Blue Jays were in the World Series. I made a bet with Gary “in the morning” from the local radio station, 93.5 WSBG, that the Phillies would win the World Series. Needless to say, the Phillies lost. I learned two things from that bet… Never make a bet (because my luck stinks!), and if you do make a bet, always be prepared to live up to the bet. Gary invited me onto the show so I could be his “lawn ornament” for the day (if the Phillies won, he would have worked with me at Burger King for the day). So, I decided to go to the radio station and fulfill my end of the bargain. Fortunate enough for me, he couldn’t find the props he wanted to use for me and thus I didn’t have to be his lawn ornament. After the show was over, Gary told me that I had a great voice for djing. Gary and I talked for a while and he invited me to come onto his show as an intern to learn what I could about the field. I accepted and became none other than yours truly; “Garbage Boy” because I did all the “garbage” at the station that he didn’t want to do. From that day on, I wanted to become a dj. In 1996, I was looking for a job in the local papers because I wanted to get out of the job I currently had. I came across two ads for mobile djs. The first one I called wanted me to pay them to train me. No thank you! The second one I called was a local company and the owner told me I would receive paid training. She offered me the position and I accepted. I worked for her for many years and decided I wanted to expand my horizons. I found a karaoke company that was hiring and worked for them for a couple months. I learned a few things from them. I moved to New Jersey in 2000 and I found a job with another mobile disc jockey company and learned a lot more from them. Around 2003, I moved back to the Poconos in Pennsylvania and worked for another mobile disc jockey company who was the in-house dj for Pocmont Resort. Venues I have been a dj in are as follows: Stroudsmoor, Pocono Manor, Famularo's, Main ballroom at Shawnee Inn, the original Mt. Airy, Pocmont Resort, My Place Bar and Grill, Sticks N Stones, Werry's Pub, Pub 570, Whisper's Lounge, Top of the World Restraunt, Skytop Resort, Tannersville Inn, Blue Tequila, Wintergreens at Fernwood Resort, Trolley Stop Pub inside Fernwood Resort, Grand Ballroom at Fernwood Resort, Friendly's Family Restraunt, ESU Stadium, Pocono Mountain High School East Football field, East Stroudsburg High School North Football Field, Luna Rossa in Gilbert, PA, The Hideout in Lake Ariel, PA. I have done numerous weddings, sweet 16's, birthdays, corporate events, bar gigs, and lot's of charity work for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, etc...
