Today has the potential to be GREAT. Let me say it this way. Today wasn't promised and because today wasn't promised, you have the opportunity to make this day the very best. No one and no demon in hell can stop what God has divinely planned for you. I don't care what happened in your past, the good news is that you're here today and with you being here today, all things are possible. I want you to get this in your spirit - this isn't the time to remain idle. No more excuse-making. No more procrastination. Get busy making things happen today.

While Jesus was having a teachable moment with His disciples, He told them, "Seek first the Kingdom of God..." Please don't miss this. You have to be about God's business. That's right; God's business is about bringing Him glory through your words as well as through your actions. What's in you is special. Here's the question - are you going to squander it or use it? The Bible tells us Job lost his family, finances, and possessions and didn't break. Because of his endurance, he prevailed. Whatever you desire, you have to go after it. Quitting is not an option and second-guessing your talent, skills, and/or abilities isn't healthy. No one said that life would be easy. You'll have some ups and downs, but the good news here is that you have power on the inside to help you get through anything on the outside. I don't care what anyone tells you, if you believe in God and believe in yourself, all things are possible. What's impossible for others is possible for you.

The apostle Paul declared "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Please don't miss this. Operating on faith along with works will produce positive results. There is a specific calling on your life and you need to go after it. If you do your part, God will handle the rest.

Doubting will keep you grounded. In other words, if you doubt your ability, doubt your talent, doubt your skill, and doubt God, you'll end up frustrated and aggravated. Think about all of the times you've doubted or allowed others to create doubt. I don't know about you, but too many doubters will never prosper. Here's what I want you to do - stop doubting. Stop second-guessing. Trust in God. Believe in yourself. This isn't the time to second-guess because too much second-guessing isn't good for you. The Bible says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." That's my word for you - don't let doubt deter you from being all the you that God has called you to be.

When you know who you are, it doesn't matter what others say or don't say because you know you. Knowing you is more, it's understanding your purpose and meaning. That's why you ought to take some time to have a little talk with yourself to give yourself positive affirmations. By doing this, you're strengthening who you are and setting the stage to blow up from the floor up.

While Jesus was having a teachable moment with His disciples, He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Jesus, not only gave a positive affirmation of Himself to others, He was sure of who He was. In a real sense, when you're a child of God, you can proclaim who you are without any reservation. Let me ask you this? Are you peaceful, loving, caring, compassionate, and dedicated? If so, these are some positive affirmations you should speak to yourself everyday. As I close this message, I urge you to use positive affirmations that are geared toward you, about you, and for you. I promise you, you'll see a difference.

Life has a way of making you feel as though it can be a lot to bear. Think about it for a moment. Work, family, school, friends, haters, bills, debt, sickness/illness, as well as a host of other things, can seem overwhelming and even overbearing at times. With everything happening to us and around us, it's easy to forget to like and love yourself. Here's the Unless you value YOU for YOU and not for what you have or don't have, you'll fall into a trap of neglecting yourself (spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally). Everyday is a challenge to look out for yourself. To cheer for yourself. To encourage yourself. That's why I urge you to make today and everyday a day of self-love, self-care, and self-empowerment. You can do it. No excuses. The Bible says, "Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?" With the Spirit of God dwelling within you, all things are possible. Because you have the Spirit of God in you, YOU have a right to like, love, and care for yourself unconditionally.

Do you want to do something different with your life but you're afraid? Is it starting a new career? Is it relocating? Is it going back to school? Is it getting involved in a relationship with someone you care about? Whatever it is, let me drop this in your spirit - GO FOR IT. That's right; if God has placed something in your spirit, stop holding yourself back with fear. Will your new venture be easy? No, but it'll be worth it as long as God is ordering your steps. Will people be questioning your decision? Yes, but no need to worry because God has everything under control. All you have to do is be faithful and GO FOR IT. If you want to blow up from the floor up, you can't hold yourself back with doubt, distractions, and/or negativity.

The Bible tells us that God told Abram to leave everything behind (the familiar) to go to a place where He would bless Him. You talk about being called to start fresh. After hearing God's voice, "Abram went, as the Lord had told him..." Abram didn't hesitate or procrastinate. In a real sense, he understood when God calls and directs, He'll set the path for you. If you're sick and tired of being sick and tired, stop holding yourself back and allow God to do what needs to be done. Don't delay your blessings and breakthroughs because of what you're afraid to do.

Isaiah 41:10 - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

1 Chronicles 16:11 - "Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His presence continually!"

Psalm 34:17 - "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles."

Joshua 1:9 - "Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Psalm 145:18-19 - "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them."

Remember- you can make it because you're a child of Almighty God and because of Your divine hookup, you have the power to make it. God won't leave nor forsake you.

When God places people in your life to help you, support you, encourage you, and empower you, that's the time to express gratitude. When faced with adversity, you have to persevere. Even though you may not see a way out, I'm here to let you know - "Greater is He (God) that is within you than he that is in the world." Because God is omnipotent, you and I can walk confidently knowing that 'no weapon formed against us shall prosper.' Yes, there will be weapons, but they can't prevail. When you have the right hookup (a relationship with God), you can press on to get the right outcome (deliverance). Trials come in many forms, but God is still in control. Bad teaching will leave you feeling miserable. When you know who God is, His unconditional love, grace, and mercy, you can't help but embrace a loving Creator. Unfortunately, too many people, especially those within the four-walls of the church like to put people down rather than lift them up. If you're connected with God, you know that you matter, and because you matter, God has something special in store for you. That's why you can shout on the words God spoke to the prophet Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." When you're about your business, you don't have time to settle for settling and you refuse to make excuses. The Spirit of God on the inside of you can empower you to accomplish great things. Just don't give in to doubt, fear, and/or uncertainty. That's why we have to embrace the words of the apostle Paul when he said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
