📍Back at parksidestation this morning for a pickup shoot! 🎥

We’ve already gathered some great content for their story about revitalizing this space with Duell Construction and sometimes, creating that perfect final piece means coming back to capture a few extra moments. That’s where a pickup shoot comes in! It’s when we revisit a site to gather additional content to really refine and complete the video.

The best part? There is no extra charge for our clients! It’s all about making sure the final video is polished and perfectly captures the story we want to share.

Stay tuned for the finished product - it’s going to be worth the wait! 👀✨

Yesterday afternoon, October 21st, I had one of those unexpected, magical moments! While driving, a rainbow suddenly appeared in the sky and I knew I had to capture it. I quickly pulled over, grabbed my camera and switched to my wide angle lens - time was ticking! The rainbow was fading fast as the sun was moving behind some clouds.

With no time to change my camera settings, the shot I got came out super dark. But with a little editing magic (turning up the exposure), I was able to bring the photo back to life! The full rainbow vanished in less than a minute, but I’m so glad I managed to catch it just in time. Check out the shot! sometimes, the best moments are the ones that almost get away!

Excited to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our recent interview with Mr. Baker, who grew up on Yuma Street in Manhattan, KS. His story is a rich part of this community’s history, and we’re honored to document it as we capture Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills' largest project yet - a historic remodel happening right here on Yuma Street. Stay tuned as this remarkable story continues to unfold!

For Mr. Baker’s interview, we used precise lighting, multi-camera angles, and professional mics to ensure top-notch audio. The setup captures his voice clearly, letting his story of Yuma Street resonate while every expression is highlighted. It’s all about creating the perfect atmosphere for authentic storytelling.

I had the incredible opportunity to capture Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (A3) as it passed by Bluemont Hill! While the city lights made it tricky for the comet to shine as brightly as I’d hoped, it was still an amazing experience to photograph it alongside one of Manhattan’s iconic landmarks.

This rare cosmic visitor only comes around once in a lifetime, and I’m beyond excited to have witnessed it! If you’ve managed to catch a glimpse of the comet, let me know, I’d love to hear about your experience!

We’re out bright and early in Seneca KS this morning to capture this massive concrete pour done by Stallbaumer Concrete Industries. They get the job done with a continuous concrete pours by utilizing their volumetric concrete mixer. Now that’s what we call efficient! We love opportunities to capture quality work done by a quality team!

We’re truly honored to have been selected as a finalist for Media Achievement in the Kansas Department of Commerce’s 2024 Minority Enterprise
Development (MED) Awards Gala. It was inspiring to be amongst so many hardworking and talented businesses in the state of Kansas and to have had the opportunity to connect with the individuals behind them.

Being recognized in this capacity is a reminder of how much Companion Projects Media has grown over the past 5 years. After an amazing two-week road trip across seven states, exploring breathtaking National and State Parks, and making unforgettable memories, we are back and ready to dive into work! 🚙✨

We cherished every moment of this adventure, spending quality time together and appreciating the beauty of our surroundings. It was a much-needed break, and we're deeply grateful for the opportunity to create these lasting family memories. ❤️

Now, it's back to business! We're kicking off our return with our weekly sync at Radina's Bakehouse. Expect to hear from us soon as we get caught up on emails and projects. We're excited to reconnect with our clients and continue creating amazing content together.

2024 Total solar eclipse

We went on a 7-hour journey to Jackson, Missouri, eagerly anticipating our first encounter with a solar eclipse. Our excitement grew counting down the minutes to witness this amazing celestial show! Reflecting on the last eclipse in 2017, it's fun to think that our business didn't even exist then so we're excited to see where we will be during the next eclipse in 2044!
