From KYTC:

The southbound lanes of U.S. 41 (South Main) in Madisonville will be restricted to one lane this week as the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet addresses issues with concrete.

The right lane will be closed through the end of the week to allow repairs to be made.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans afternoon closures of two ramps at the I-69/Pennyrile Parkway/Western Kentucky Parkway interchange in Hopkins County at 3 p.m. this afternoon.

Exit 38B, the ramp from the westbound WK onto the southbound Pennyrile Parkway, and Exit 106B, the ramp from southbound I-69 to the eastbound Western Kentucky Parkway, will both close this afternoon beginning at 3 p.m. for milling and paving.

The contractor plans to have both ramps open by 11 p.m. tonight.

There is no marked detour.

From KYTC: A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close two ramps at the I-69 interchange with the Western Kentucky Parkway and Pennyrile Parkway at around 1 p.m. this afternoon for around 30 minutes.

The closure is to allow previously started work on the ramps to be completed.

Ramp 38 B, which leads from the westbound Western Kentucky Parkway onto the southbound Pennyrile Parkway towards Hopkinsville, and Ramp 106 B, which leads from the southbound Pennyrile Parkway onto the eastbound WK towards Elizabethtown, will be closed for an estimated 30 minutes beginning at 1 p.m. today.

Copernicus Programme Satellite imagery from northeast Caldwell and southwest Hopkins County, KY shows a clear path (brown area) of vegetation scoured by the May 26, 2024 long track EF3 tornado that moved through the area. Just a few miles to the south the scar from the December 10, 2021 tornado is visible tracking through Dawson Springs.

From the City of Earlington: The City of Earlington has issued a Boil Water Advisory. With South Hopkins Water District still being without power we have started to notice a drop in water pressure, and so we have issued this advisory as a precautionary measure.

KYTC is reporting that 109 near Charleston is blocked by trees. Emergency crews are likely traveling throughout that area. Unless you have an emergency in the area, it is advisable to stay off that road and out of that section of Hopkins County.

From KYTC: Southbound lanes of Interstate 69 in Hopkins County are blocked as first responders deal with a crash near the 113 mile marker, just south of the I-69/ KY 70 interchange.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office hopes to have one lane of the roadway reopened as soon as possible.

Motorists should still anticipate one lane traffic during clean-up and expect delays.

Flooding is becoming significant issue across Hopkins County this afternoon. These photos were submitted by Aleigha Hughes just a few minutes ago. High water has been reported in a number of low lying areas, such as the railroad bridge near the North Main Street Sonic, and the parking lot of Parkway Plaza Mall. Several vehicles are reportedly stuck in the floodwaters there. Hopkins County drivers are advised to take it slowly and watch for potentially dangerous high waters.
