Was happy to attend the taping of HortWeek which was recorded live at the Taspo booth at IPM Essen. Great hanging with my hortiholic friends Rick Grazzini of Garden Genetics and Mr Plant Geek - Michael Perry plus meeting Graham Spencer of Plants for Europe and Sirekit Mol of Beekenkamp. Very excited to have met with the Valkplant team at IPM Essen. They will lead the launch of the Proven Winners Tree program in Europe! First Tree up will be Midnight Express Redbud which comes from grower and breeder partner Robinson Nursery, Inc. I'll be on a tree high the entire flight home!

IPM Essen is all that and more. Think Cultivate on steroids. Imagine Cultivate x 8 rooms. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night hosted by the Plantipp - Concept Plants team. Very blessed to work with them! Then it was off to the show for day 3 of meetings and getting my hort mind blown away. in Germany.

My first day at IPM Essen started out with a bang! Stopped at the Fleurizon International booth and met with Frank de Greef (who just happens to be my sons boss). RickGrazzini GardenGenetics Plant Breeding stopped to say hello, followed by Michael Perry. Rick got away too quickly but glad to have spent a little time with Michael and Frank and snapped a quick photo. Visit Fleurizon in Stand 2B30. Their plant material looks superb, their offerings are extremely diverse and they source and ship worldwide.
