We are saddened by the passing away of Paul DeLuca, he will be greatly missed by Medical Physics Publishing. Paul was one of our original board members and he served as the president of the board for several years. He continued as a board member until his passing. We have valued his counsel over the years and his contributions to Medical Physics Publishing will not be forgotten.

A giant has passed. Paul M. DeLuca, Jr. passed away last week. He was my thesis advisor, department chair, colleague and mentor. We worked together at the Gas Target Neutron Source at the University of Wisconsin where I did my PhD thesis on neutron/gamma dosimetry in 1983. Years after it shut down, Greg Piefer modernized our equipment and created Phoenix Nuclear and later SHINE Technologies to revolutionize isotope production. Here we are back about 1980 with Dave Pearson, Paul, Marie-Ester Brandan and myself. This is the finest research group in which I ever participated

Gosh, it really looks like a place that a future medical physicist or radiologist would live!

A reminder that if you're ordering one of our books from a 3rd party vendor to get a low price, you are probably ordering a book they acquired with a stolen credit card. We're catching most of these orders but every now and then a credit card fraud slips through.
