➡️ Whitesburg Christian Academy Hoops update features both schools officially hosting the upcoming Area Tournament!

🟡 The Whitesburg Girls won in impressive fashion by a final score of 52-11, and have been on a roll that includes clinching 1st in Area versus Elkmont High School!

🟣 The Whitesburg Boys officially clinched hosting the Area Tournament during their victory over ASCTE by a final score of 51-41!

Kaden Ragland-Morris would have a double-double in the game with 29 points & 10 rebounds, plus adding 5 steals.

Hoke Smith led the team with a plus/minus of plus-19.

‼️Rivalry Renewed!

➡️ Cullman wins close contest over gritty Hartselle Hoops team!

- Due to the weather, only one game to update this week, but it was a close one!

- The Bearcats gutted out a tough victory over the Hartselle Tigers by a final score of 53-50!

- Jake Dorough led the way with 19 points, followed by Brooks Loftin with 14 points and Preston Gay with 11 points!

Standout Basketball player for Brooks High School RJ Gourley recently announced his commitment to Johnson University, located in Knoxville, Tennessee!

RJ is also a multi-sport standout who helped Brooks High School Track & Field bring home a Red Map in 2024!

Johnson University competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, and we are looking forward to covering RJ the rest of this season and in the future!

➡️ East 47-33 Athens

The Lady Indians of East Limestone defeated the Lady Eagles of Athens tonight by a final score of 47-33 in the latest game featuring the pair of talented cross-town rivals!

Standout Hooper Aria Cain posted her third straight double-double in the game, with 16 points & 10 rebounds…while also adding 4 steals 🔥🔥🔥

East Limestone is currently ranked No. 9 in the State and have a record of 18-4!

🔴 The list of accomplishments for the 2024 Bob Jones Baseball team is a long one, and required consistent day-in and day-out work from each of the individuals, regardless of their undeniable collective talent.

🔵 The level of success reached by Head Coach Jared Smith and the 2024 7A State champions happened not only because of depth in the lineup, clutch performances on the mound, and excellent play from their roster of college commits, but also largely because everyone had a role, everyone knew their role, and everyone felt their role was important to their success.

🔴 While some of the individuals who made a difference in their historic season are now gone, expect The 2025 Patriots to reload again, and make the Class of 2024 proud! Especially as long as Coach Smith is there.

🥇 Additionally, Varsity Girls clinched the 1 seed to host Area!

Tucker has been a huge factor this season with continuing the high standard of Good Hope Raider Hoops, and reached this career milestone a couple weeks after standout teammate Tyler Cone @5._tyler reached the accomplishment himself!

Featuring a new school on the page, we wanted to congratulate Luke McVeigh from Faith Christian High School (Anniston) on his commitment to Montevallo Swim!

🥉 He brought home a Bronze medal at State in the 100 yard Backstroke!

Luke is a Senior leader for not only the Swim team, but also Track & Field as well!

Additionally, he has served in leadership roles such as being a panelist at the 2024 Southeastern Swimming Summit, and also as Secretary for the Anniston City Youth Council!
