In this video, I'm giving you a tour of the ultimate family accommodations in Boracay, Philippines! The 3 Bedroom Premiere Suite at Aqua Boracay sleeps 8 so our party of 5 adults and 2 children had plenty of room to spare. Also this room that was literally a few steps from the white sand beach was a great deal at $1,000 but thanks to American Express reward points the total came out to just $376 for the entire stay! The list price was more than fair but after miles and points this is easily the best vacation value I have ever seen.

Sometimes you just have to go to the opposite side of the planet to find your paradise. In our case we had our sights set on Boracay, Philippines! Specifically Aqua Boracay which was booked totally with Miles & Points from American Express. While getting to the Philippines is fairly straightforward, transferring to domestic destinations without their own local airport can be a challenge. In this video, we break down the Manila -> Caticlan -> Boracay transfer process step by step. Carribean? Never heard of her lol

The the latest episode of the vlog on YouTube, I do a street food taste test of some foods that would probably be considered "scary af" by American standards. Some of those items include Chicken intestines and congealed chicken blood on a stick locally known as "Betamax." I didn't know before I went, but today was the opening day at Sakura in Macon. I had seen a fair amount of chatter about this place and I happened to be in the area so I gave it a try. What did I think? Just press play and all shall be revealed...

Today I was in Perry, Ga and I came across this absolute gem! The Swanson was absolutely a treat and when I got the check it was so affordable that I had to double-check with the waitstaff to make sure that there wasn't a mistake. Normally I would say something like, "If you're in the area stop by!" But in this case, you should go out of your way and visit The Swanson. From the amazing atmosphere to the even more amazing food, this place is everything you want in a hometown restaurant.

I have been trying to get my hands on one of those big loaded potatoes I've been seeing online and The Georgia Potato Factory-Macon, GA helped me accomplish my mission. If it's not already in your rotation, it needs to be!

Edit: There is no sausage in the meat lover's potato.

Today I decided to stop by one of my all-time favorites, Satterfield's Barbecue! I saw a Facebook post announcing that they were serving ribs and I had to immediately stop what I was doing and secure my order lol.

After seeing a news article about Philly Italian Water Ice, LLC today, I immediately took a drive down to Bryon to see if the hype was real about their Philly Cheesesteaks. These are the kinds of gems that I love to find in Central Ga! It's great to be back! Where should I go next? Let me know in the comments!

It's been a very long pandemic, and I'm kicking things off in Atlanta, Ga at Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken Atlanta. Clearly, it is world famous for a reason because the chicken is 🔥🔥🔥

Okay, there's been sooo much talk about Mr Pingo's House so wifey and I stopped in and gave it a try. Let's talk Pingos! A Pingo is sort of like a small fried meat and cheese dumpling...Kinda. I have to be honest and say that I wasn't ready for the texture of it. Based on its appearance I was expecting something kind of like a stuffed hush puppy. In actuality, there is a thin crunchy layer on the outside and then a soft doughy layer that's the texture of smooth peanut butter and then a cheesy meaty filling. When you eat it, it sort of sticks to the roof of your mouth. It is a texture combination that I wasn't prepared for, but I can see why it's a popular snack...I totally get it. In my opinion, it's missing some sort of dipping sauce. Considering that they have only been open for a couple days, I would imagine that a dipping sauce is on the way. Now, let's talk Pastels! For me, these were the star of the show! These are empanada-Esque meat pies with a light crispy shell. These were absolutely TO DIE FOR! We got the sausage and cheese Pastels and they are a perfect combination of amazing textures and balanced flavor. There is a satisfying crunch and the perfect amount of filling inside. 3-4 of these with a drink would make for a great lunch on the go. Have you been to Mr. Pingos House yet? What did you think? Every Mexican restaurant has that house special plate. It’s a bit of rice with cheese, and then chicken steak and maybe shrimp on top and it absolutely slaps every time no matter where you are lol.
