Any Fried Green Tomatoes fans out there? I’m talking about the movie 🎥 I’m taking it back to May with this post. Erik took me to Juliette the little town here in Georgia where the movie was filmed. We enjoyed the day there taking in the sights and having lunch at the cafe.

Hey y’all! Just wanted to check in and give you all an update. For those that don’t know I was diagnosed with pseudo tumor cerebri/idiopathic intracranial hypertension (a fancy name for my brain not draining cerebrospinal fluid like it should) last summer. The symptoms are the same as if I had a brain tumor.

I tried a couple different treatment options and the side effects were so bad. They made it even harder to function than just the disease itself.

I also have stenosis (narrowing) in some of the veins in my brain which was contributing to the disease. In the spring I decided I wanted to get a brain stent to open one of the vessels up to hopefully put me in remission. I had the surgery on June 6th and it seems to have helped. Though it can take up to 9 months to see full results.

My biggest challenge now is fatigue. I believe it is due to the meds I was prescribed to take for 90 days post-op. I get to quit taking them next month. Woohoo!

Happy Memorial Day, y’all! 🇺🇸I have been getting messages from y’all wondering how I am doing.

I am okay. Awaiting venous stent surgery 👨‍⚕️on June 6th. The hope is that with the stent(s) the cerebrospinal fluid will properly drain so the pressure it puts on my brain 🧠 will go down and I will feel better.

It can take up to 9 months 🗓️ for it to work. Fingers🤞crossed that it does.

Please send good thoughts 💬 and prayers 🙏🏻 my way.
