Hello and happy winter!

We hope you're staying warm and cozy, or getting out in the snow, whatever your jam is.
We're reaching out to say hello and let you know about a few things on the horizon which aren't yet listed on our website.
This Friday evening, Jan 24, our very own Enion Pelta-Tiller is leading her group EnQuintet (featuring John Gunther (sax/flute), Victor Mestas (piano), Will Kuepper (bass), and Kevin Matthews (drums), playing her original music and arrangements of traditional and indie Americana and Brazilian music. On Sunday, February 9, Enion appears as a featured fiddle soloist and concert host with the Boulder Philharmonic as part of their SHIFT concert series, for an evening called "America Redefined". Enion will be playing traditional Irish and American fiddle tunes, a piece of her own, music by Ornette Coleman, Darol Anger, and Ricardo Herz. Greetings and happy fall!
We had a wonderful run of shows in the mountains, and were so glad to see some of you at the shows. This month, the Taarka crew is settling into the cooler weather, putting the garden to bed, and generally hunkering down. However, Enion is coming out of hiding this Saturday, Oct. 19, to lead a great band of some of Colorado's finest jazz musicians in a special show featuring her original compositions and arrangements of some familiar tunes, as well as music from her intrepid band featuring Dawn Clement (keys), John Gunther (reeds/winds), Will Kuepper (bass) and Dru Heller (drums). Come out to Full Cycle Cafe and Bar in Boulder to hear what they're cooking up for you. And look ahead to 2025 for some special outings by Enion, David, and the Taarka family band!

WOOOOO! We got something for you! About 17 years ago, when we were all much younger, we met a gifted young songwriter and MC named Alfred Howard at the High Sierra Music Festival. We always dug hanging with Al, and even did a few shows together, at Winston's in San Diego, and at the Goodfoot Lounge in Portland OR. Fast forward, we're all much older, and Al has been doing an amazing collaborative project with musicians he's met over the years.
