The coolest thing about my podcast is listening back and hearing someone’s story who isn’t here anymore. His actions can stay with me and I can hear him talk.

Each time I listen back I feel a different message that he is sharing.

Fun fact: when I go shooting I take a bin with my mom’s name on it.

Growing up you don’t realize how significant a healthy reminded of who gave you life is but now as a grown up (kinda) I keep this bin with me she gave me when we were packing up my house.

Being able to sit down with a skilled tattoo artist like and have him perfectly create what I want in ink has been one of the coolest things to do.

I have known for years now and he has always shown care, developed his skill and worked diligently to improve. I thought hand tattoos would be horrible but he is light handed and works quickly.
I am exited to finish the hand and work the rest of the way up the sleeve

Yesterday I got to do one of the most calming things I get to experience.

Lead therapy.
Throwing small pieces of metal with tiny explosions can seem scary, intimidating or even dangerous to some.
For me shooting is very therapeutic and almost always leaves me feeling like a smooth rock fresh out of the ocean.

Being able to focus on one thing (not missing) while following instruction and practicing the small details that lead to improvement are what the self defense journey has been all about for me.

What I didn’t expect is for it to help mentally decompress.

Focusing on self improvement in almost every category can be hard. 1% better is still 1% better and yesterday that was accomplished.

I have watched as Sheriff Sanders leads through transparency, empowering his deputies, listens to advice from others with different experience, holds town halls and has an open relationship with the community.

VETERANS DAY COME AND JOIN US FOR A SPECIAL EVENT AT THE LIME IN KIRKLAND

starts playing at 6pm and is gonna rock the place!

Free meal for veterans and discounted drinks!

We will also have a two part fundraiser taking place.
1: my crew and myself will be repoing out 1 squat per $ raised for a local and national Non-Profit organization that uses fitness as the backbone for its peer-to-peer support and mental health and wellness programs. This is a very personal fundraiser and I am ready ti do squats till I can’t walk. Let’s raise awareness about fitness being an MASSIVE way to improve mental health.

WE WILL ALSO be teaming up with from to collect: blankets, socks, first aid kits, and other essential gear for IN TACOMA TO HELP OUR VETERANS BUILD A FOUNDATION TO GET AND KEEP THEM OFF THE STREETS THIS WINTER! I ALSO HAVE AN AMAZING HUMAN WHO WILL BE MATCHING DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR THW DONATIONS WE RAISE!

🚨I NEED SOME HELP!!!🚨
I wanted to reach out and ask a favor. A young man has been having some pretty significant issues with bullying at school and we are trying to pack his last football game at high school Monday at 3:45 PM at Lynnwood high school. he is really having a difficult time dealing with it because multiple bullies like a small little gang and me being far away he’s not really feeling the support so we are looking to overwhelm him.

Yesterday I put a message on my skin to myself and others that my podcast has always tried to convey every episode.
Don’t Pass The Pain.
was kind enough to take the time to sit down for a podcast episode while adding the ink.
Su***de prevention, committing to breaking generational trauma, dealing with mental health at the root and using fitness as a form of combatting depression have been a tremendous part of the story I have been sharing by having 138 guests on to discuss life.
“Don’t just go through it, grow through it” has been the theme for many.
To me this tattoo is a way for me to remember all of my friends who lost the battle with mental health crisis.

If you are going though a tough time, don’t go through it alone. Talk to someone. Don’t pass that pain to others around you. We would rather talk to you and try to help than loose you. Life is better because you are here. Stay.
