The Inaugural Book 'Em North Carolina event will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012. The doors open to the public at 9:30 am and close at 4:00 pm. The event is free. This is an innovative book fair taking place at Robeson Community College in Lumberton, North Carolina. It's for all ages - from pre-school children who love to be read to, to adults with varied interests. Authors will have tables you can browse. Whether you are an aspiring writer interested in learning how to break into the publishing industry, or someone who loves to read and is looking for a good book, you will find what you're looking for at this book fair. Feel free to talk to the authors one-on-one as you move throughout the facility. There will also be four sets of talks going on all day long: (a) Writers Conference Talks - for aspiring writers or published writers interested in learning more about the industry; (b) Children's Corner - talks by children's authors, including readings; (c) The Fictional World - for readers of fiction, including young adult, fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery, suspense and horror; (d) Historically Speaking - for readers of history and non-fiction Each talk begins at the top of the hour and lasts 45 minutes. You can feel free to attend one or all of the talks throughout the day. Attendance is free. Some will be panel discussions and others will be solo talks.
