We are a Northern Colorado-based professional DJ company that has been making unique events happen for our clients for over twenty years. We are looking for a highly dependable, outgoing, creative, and professional DJ/MC for weddings and occasional private events - at a single location!
You will need to have a big love for music, people, planning, and weddings! Prior DJ/MC experience is highly preferred but optional. Paid training will be provided to ensure seamless integration with our philosophy, planning process, and meetings through event ex*****on and completion. We provide sound equipment for your events.
This is a part-time position with up to 6 possible monthly events in the “high season” from June to Sept, with fewer to no events during the “off-season”. Gigs should begin in June, with hourly paid training in March, April, and May, depending on the training schedule. Compensation is $300 – $800 per event, depending on event hours, optional event add-ons, and experience. Average event pay is around $450.00 + tips for an experienced DJ. This position is employee based, not as an independent contractor!

- General knowledge of music genres, artists, and songs
- Ability to work an event any day of the week and have specific meeting days/locations
- Be 21+ years old
- A valid driver's license
- A reliable, newer vehicle & insurance (preferably SUV, mid/larger hatchback, or covered and lockable truck for moving gear. No tiny cars, sorry)
- A problem-free laptop (preferably a Mac), printer, and reliable internet access at your residence
- Ability to lift heavy gear
- Strong desire to help others and a “can-do” attitude
Like to have:
- Extensive prior DJ/MC experience with weddings
- Professional audio/video equipment knowledge and problem-solving
- Ability to beat match/mix tracks
Things you will be doing:
- Make the most important day of somebody’s life happen!
- Meet with clients in person, virtually or over the phone/facetime to review and help with song selections and event details in a cloud-based system
- Selling and inputting optional add-ons
- Creating music playlists
- Occasionally transporting gear from NoCo base to venue and back
- Setting up and taking down heavy equipment
- Collecting any balance owed at the event
- Communicating with and helping other wedding vendors
- Guiding participants throughout the event
- Making announcements and introducing participants as needed
- Playing specified music selections and making musical changes on the fly during open dancing (“reading the crowd” and playing the right song at the right time).
