Cathay Pacific 880’s flight from the Hong Kong International Airport, which took off on January 1, 2025, landed at the Los Angeles International Airport 12 hours later on December 31, 2024!

Per a flight tracking site, the plane took off from Hong Kong on Wednesday at local time (HKT) 12:21 am, the first day of the new year. The flight arrived in LA on Tuesday at 8:33 pm PST, about 22 minutes earlier than the ETA. The total journey by the jetliner comprised 12 hours and 12 minutes, crossing the International Date Line over the Pacific.

For the flyers, they had a few more hours to celebrate the New Year again!
