Sent to me from the promoter: The vibe is NYC pre-2004. Parties like Beaver at Don Hills (which was super 80s vibes with some soul, disco, and glam rock), Frankie’s Soul Kitchen in the 90s, rock and roll night at Sway and hip-hop all-over town were pretty seminal for us. There was a party of John Street too which had some more punk and rock and roll too which was great. We also love Disco! We are giving DJs free reign within that vibe, we love classics, anything from Glam Rock to Hip Hop, from Disco to Soul, from Pop to Motown, from New Wave to R&B, to reggae to punk to afro beat. We want what makes people dance and sometimes they can sing a long too. We love B-side action too! Not just the hits. So much room within the wide vibe to let it rip!! But we don’t really want any stuff post 2004.” Um...ok! 😂 Curious to hear what I do? Come dance. Tomorrow.
