✨ WIM X Sip N Swap Event ✨

Some of my favorite networking and learning experiences have come from the incredible WIM community! If you’re looking to connect with inspiring womxn, industry movers, and shakers, I highly recommend becoming a member. 🎥💖

This was my first Sip N Swap event, hosted by Blank Paige Films, and I think I’ve found my new favorite way to network! The structured format made it easy (and fun!) to meet so many amazing people in one night.

Be sure to follow to stay updated on their next event—you won’t want to miss it! 💫

With the recent Eaton and Palisade fires, LA’s production industry and community takes another big hit. With work prior to the fires being moved outside LA due to better tax incentives, we were already loosing work and what gives so many people employment in this city.

Think about it, lack of production doesn’t only affect people on set but the entire city. With less production there are less people spending on hotels, retail, restaurants, coffee shops, let alone production specific departments like lighting, props, and gear.

We believe the film community here is like no where else and the PEOPLE are what makes LA so special. Let’s keep them here 🙏💕

HAPPY 7 YEAR ANNIVERSARY FEMME REGARD 🎥

This month marks an incredible 7-year journey of creativity, collaboration, and community. Together, we’ve accomplished so much—making short films (even on horseback!), launching a podcast approaching 200 episodes, building a strong independent filmmaking community, and bringing our debut feature film SYNC to life. ✨

This year, we’re entering a new chapter. Carolina Alvarez will be stepping forward and taking full ownership of Femme Regard Productions, continuing the mission to create more opportunities for women in front of and behind the camera. 🎬

We want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing partner, Tessa Markle, for her incredible contributions over the years. While her role is shifting, Tessa remains an invaluable part of our community and continues championing SYNC. 🩷

To our Femme Fam—thank you for making dreams come true. Here’s to many more years of storytelling and creating together!

With love and gratitude,
Femme Regard

We are deeply heartbroken by the devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles, Malibu, Altadena, and the Pacific Palisades. 💔

This is our home, and our hearts go out to everyone affected, especially those who have lost their homes. The pain and loss are unimaginable, but we believe in the strength of our city—the city that has given us so much inspiration, joy, and collaboration.

Let’s come together to support the real-life heroes on the frontlines. We’ve provided a link in our bio to donate to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation (LADF). Every contribution makes a difference. 🙏

If any of our fellow LA friends need assistance, our DMs are open 🩷

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving, Femme Fam! 🍁
As we reflect on this special day, we’re filled with gratitude for the beautiful memories made on set. Sharing meals together felt like gathering as a family—laughing, dancing, and creating bonds we’ll cherish forever.

One unforgettable moment? The day we shot a breakfast scene, we decided to treat our team to a real pancake breakfast! While setups were underway, our incredible production designer and PA got to work whipping up a feast. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do.

We’re so thankful for our SYNC family and for our amazing community, which has supported us during the start of our festival journey. Here’s to many more celebrations ahead!

🥂 With love, Team SYNC

Femme Regard Productions

Derived from the French term for "the female gaze", Femme Regard is a company that strives to reinvent cinematic roles from the female perspective. We believe that women have many amazing stories to tell, and are all too often contrived only through a male perspective. Our stories challenge the way we often view the characters in film and look for new creative ways to break the stereotypes.

We also believe that women do not get equal opportunity in film. It is important that the many talented female writers, directors, actresses, producers, camera operators, sound operators, composers, editors, and more come together to create beautiful art. The mission of Femme Regard Productions is to create more roles for women both in front of and behind the camera.
