My husband's 40th birthday was coming up, and I decided to throw a surprise party for him. To prepare for it, I told him I would be out of town on his birthday, and we agreed to celebrate on another day. ENTITLED LANDLORD RAISED OUR RENT BY $650 — WE HAD ENOUGH AND TAUGHT HIM A COSTLY LESSON.
My wife and I both bust our butts working full-time. We rented a cheap place to save up for a house.
When we met the landlord, Mr. Williams, he gave us the lease. I, not thinking, wrote my income as $100k. He saw it, got all huffy, but faked a smile and said nothing.

WOMAN RUINED 8-HOUR FLIGHT FOR ALL PASSENGERS – AFTER THE FLIGHT, THE CAPTAIN DECIDED TO PUT HER IN HER PLACE HIMSELF.
It was a long flight after my swimming competition, and I had only one wish — to put a mask over my eyes and fall asleep. Right? Nope!
Ever since we took off, I knew I'd have issues with the lady on my left (aisle seat).
She was ringing the flight attendant button like there was a fire in our aisle and complaining non-stop about how both of us (the girl in the window seat and I) should be moved because we had "taken her place."

My neighbor destroyed my grandparents' peach orchard, and I subsequently caused her to experience profound regret.
My grandparents bequeathed to me a peach orchard that had been in our family for more than fifty years. Karen subsequently relocated to the adjacent residence, which marked the commencement of my nightmare.
She made absurd demands from the outset, such as requesting that we remove our peach trees because their leaves had blown onto her property. We elucidated the significance of the orchard, and she temporarily withdrew her support.

MY SON DEMANDS THAT I BABYSIT HIS SON BECAUSE I'M RETIRED
He's 35 and married, and he and his wife had my grandson last year. My daughter-in-law wants to go back to working outside.
Since I'm retired, my son asked me to take care of my grandson. I asked him how long he needed me to do it, to which my son replied that they had NO plan for it.
I asked if they had considered daycare, and he said that neither he nor his wife were okay with it. I also suggested they ask his wife's parents, and he said that they didn't have time for it.
He thought of asking me because I had helped his older brother, and it would "basically be the same thing."

MY GRANDPA LEFT ME HIS INHERITANCE TO PAY FOR COLLEGE BUT MY PARENTS SPENT IT ALL BEHIND MY BACK. KARMA HIT THEM BACK HARD.
When I was 15, my grandfather died. We were very close and he left me his inheritance knowing how much I dreamed of going to college. This money was enough to cover all my studies.

I knew for a while that my wife, Claire, was cheating on me. It wasn’t hard to figure out with all the late-night texts, sudden work trips, and secretive phone calls. But I didn’t confront her. Hell, I didn’t even feel anything for her after I found out. We had been married for so long, I didn’t have any feelings left for her.
The problem was, I was scared of a divorce because it would ruin me financially. I relied on her big salary to keep things afloat. She was covering our apartment, insurance, groceries, etc. So, I just gritted my teeth and pretended everything was fine.
One day, while doing laundry, I found this crumpled receipt from some fancy restaurant in her jeans pocket. The name on it? Alex Mercer.

Suddenly, things made sense. I knew the guy. He was her father's friend, who I had seen a few times at her father’s birthday. He was rolling in money, and even back then, I could see that he was in love with my wife. He was a rich, soft guy who seemed to be lonely. I would have never thought that he was the one my wife had been going out with. But since it was him, I now understood how my wife got such a sudden big “raise” at work. She didn’t!
