Its not much but I have about $30,000 in my Roth IRA/HSA retirement accounts too. Get a nice car why would you get something trashy. It’ll just break down a TON I actually love driving this way. I make excuses to drive my truck. I bought this truck at 13,000 miles so I know I have been taking care of it. I don’t know why people flame others for spending a little extra on their car. Keeps me motivated
Replying to @VaultofStuff Instead of rolling silverware, we fold 50 napkins for dinner. Sidework usually does average out to taking about this long (1 to 1.5 hours) per dinner shift. Tonight was my new best night of 2024 so far. May is a crazy month! After tipout we are walking with $725 apiece. However I tend to tip my SA out a little extra on top of their SA tip pool. This shift was so so smooth. The 2 other servers I worked with were great & definitely made the shift more fun & easier. Tomorrow starts the crowd of race people. Today we had 0 people in for the race. It was mostly the Tyler Technology convention crowd. Cant wait for the Thursday-Saturday dinner shifts & I might force myself to pickup a Friday night (currently have 530 covers for Friday night) BUT $103 an hour is absolutely insane I’m very grateful to Jesus for allowing me to have this job. Replying to @Tairy Dulay We had 459 covers today but I only managed to serve 11 people all night. Sometimes you have those rough nights as a server. Where things don’t go your way. After tipout I made $275 for 7 hours of work on only $1,050 in sales. I am thankful it all balances out in the end though. Everyone was telling me “show the bad nights” well it doesnt get any worse than this. Still very grateful for having this job. It’s race weekend here in Indy for the Indy500.
