✨ Official Nursery Reveal ✨

After months of planning, painting, designing, shopping, wallpapering, etcetera - I’m so excited to show off all of our hard work and finally reveal August’s nursery!! I absolutely love how it has all come together!!

We went for a sweet, green, jungle theme 🌿 and I wanted the vibe to feel like the inside of a Swiss Family Robinson treehouse! 🤗🌴 Do you think we hit the mark?!!

His dresser is an old NYC Craigslist find that I’ve had sitting in storage for years but knew would be perfect once we refinished and restored it. His wallpaper I ordered on Etsy from an artist in the Netherlands. And his crib is an absolute STEAL from ! It’s the ‘Birdie’ 3-in-1 Convertible Crib in the color ‘Honey’ and it retails for only $179!! It’s Greenguard Gold Certified, easy to set up, and grows with Baby (I bought the additional Toddler Bed Conversion Kit). Our beloved Boone passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday 💔🌈 He gave us 15.5 remarkable years, and was spunky and spirited right up until his final days. We are broken-hearted, devastated really, but also so thankful that we got to spend so much time with him - longer than I think anyone ever expected (including us)!

He was the sweetest, most loyal and constant companion - by my side with love and support on those difficult days, and a source of endless smiles and laughs for all those amazing days too! We shared countless adventures - he was a very well-traveled dog!! I think his favorite days were those with brunch outings, and beach days, and sunset hikes, and cross-country road trips! 🚗🐶 I’m so thankful that he was able to stick around long enough to meet his baby brother - in Boone’s prime, they would have been the best of friends. He brought good vibes, and smiles and laughter to everyone he met, and his snuggles were absolutely the sweetest thing. We’ll be cherishing those memories.

Until we meet again, Boone. We love you so much ❤️

Born May 6th at 8:50 PM - a whopping 8 lbs 4 oz and 19.5 inches long 💙 We’re absolutely over the moon, and Baby Augie is happy, healthy, and more adorable than we ever could have imagined!!

This little guy turns FOURTEEN years old today!! He’s been the light of our lives 🤍 and always brings us so much laughter and so much joy! We’ve been absolutely blessed to have all of this time together… And even though he’s a little slower and less spry in these senior years, and listens a little less and sleeps (and t***s!) a little more, he’s still got our whole hearts and all of our love 💕 HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOONE!! 🥳🐶

Just me and the sea(birds) 🌊

Catching this Laughing Gull’s shadow felt like a once-in-a-lifetime shot! 📷

Pristine white sand, crystal clear water, and the sun shining bright feels like paradise to me! 🌞

If you could be on any beach in the world, where would you be? I’d be living out my best Gilligan’s Island or Swiss Family Robinson fantasy on a deserted paradise just like this one! 🏝

Day 7 - Waikiki 💙

We took advantage of the free rentals offered by and grabbed a cooler, an umbrella, and a boogie board to take out to the beach for the first half of the day. We didn’t have much success with the boogie board, but we had a lot of fun! 🤣

For the second half of the day, we decided to venture out on some of the nearby hiking trails. Some afternoon rain in the mountains tried to keep us away, but luckily we packed our jackets, and after we were thoroughly soaked, we headed back towards the coast, where we were met with better weather, and warm soup from a local spot for an early supper! 🍜

Day 6 - Back to Oahu 🌊

We woke up early today to savor up as much Kauai time as possible before our quick flight back to Oahu! After our morning yoga class, a soak in the pool, and breakfast - it was off to the airport! ✈️

The flight from Kauai to Oahu is only about 20 minutes (and only about $65pp each way) so in no time at all we were loaded into our rental car and headed to Waikiki!

Our top priority and first stop on the way to our last hotel was the famous Liliha bakery - known for their delicious puffs 🧁 which we then decided to enjoy poolside once we checked into the ! With the sweet treats and those views, the afternoon just couldn’t be beat! 💦

Day 5 - Kauai 🌴

Today was our only full day in Kauai, so we wanted to make every effort to see as much of the island as possible! We rented a car, and drove up the east side of the island to Hanalei Bay, stopping in Old Koloa Town outside of Poipu for lunch, then Wailua Falls, Opaeka’a Falls, Kilauea Lighthouse, and Anini Beach Park (my fav!) 🏖 We were hoping to check out the famous food trucks in Hanalei Bay, but we arrived later in the day after every thing had closed (3PM in case you’re planning a trip!) so we opted for dinner at Kalypso Bar and Grill instead and I ate wayyyyy to much kelp noodle pesto 😅🍝

After dinner, we set off back to our hotel in Poipu - Koloa Landing Resort], and finished our night soaking in the hot tub in the ✨adults only✨ pool 🌙 It was lovely and romantic and quiet - except for all of the Hawaii nature sounds of course, and made for the most perfect, luxurious, relaxing evening! For a late night snack, we picked up a flatbread from Holoholo Grill, the on-site restaurant, and then tucked ourselves in bed after a very eventful day!

Tomorrow, back to Oahu!

Next time we come back to Kauai, I plan on checking out the Napoli Coast. Is there anything else in Kauai you recommend?

We had the best, most romantic and relaxing holiday weekend getaway last weekend at 🌴🌊 We slept in (so nice!), walked out from our back patio straight onto the beach, enjoyed delicious room service and great food from the on-site restaurant/bar, and spent some time out on the water with a kayak rented from - and Boone got to tag along for all of it!!

If you’re looking for a fun, family friendly place to stay in Mission Bay in SD, Paradise Point is the spot! 44 acres of lush gardens, tropical lagoons, a mile of sandy beach, five swimming pools, beach bonfire pits, a marina, fine dining & an award-winning spa, bungalow-style guest rooms, and endless recreation options (even mini golf! ⛳️ ) - this was such a fun place to spend our staycation weekend!

What is the thing you look forward to most in a vacation? My favorites are probably fun adventure activities, pretty pools, and great food! 🍓😋 I enjoy a nice spa for massages or sugar scrubs too! 🧖‍♀️💕

Bakery by day ☀️, bar by night 🌙✨

The downstairs lobby and lounge area at is so beautiful! It has managed to keep all of it’s vintage charm with historic accents like the original antique fireplace and a 1920s elevator design, but expertly mixed with beautiful original artwork and sophisticated, modern styling - giving it the warmest, coziest feeling. And my all time favorite part is the bakery and coffee bar serving a massive selection of delicious pastries by day, that converts into a cocktail bar at night! (And with live music on the piano, too!) If you’re looking for a cool spot to chill out and unwind at the end of the night - this is it! And the coffee and treats will be there to perk you back up in the morning! 😘

We munched on an almond croissant, and a pain au chocolat, and if I hadn’t already been full, I would’ve tried the fig pastry I later overheard the barista recommending to another patron 😋

❄️ IT SNOWED!!! ❄️

(Of course they were just tiny baby flakes and nothing stuck and the snow only last about 15 minutes, but still - it put me in the Christmas spirit!!)

For our second stop in NYC, we headed over to the UWS - my old stomping grounds!! We stayed , a super chic hotel with a beautiful downstairs lounge, a bakery and coffee bar that turns into an adult bar at night, and a nice multi-use type space perfect for people like me working on the go!

I love the vibe of the UWS. It’s calm and quiet, with a neighborhoody feel, and has some of the best (and very affordable!) food, and this time of year, every few blocks you’ll see cute, quaint little Christmas tree stands!! 🎄 It’s also sooo convenient to get around. Here you’re close to the park, Lincoln Center, the Museum of Natural History, and the is right next to an express 2-3 subway stop, too!

I know I’m biased having lived there for so long, but UWS is definitely my favorite neighborhood in NYC ❤️ What’s your favorite part of the city??

I GOT TO FLY THE PLANE!! ✈️

Well, actually… I just got to sit in the co-pilot’s seat 😅 But it felt pretty darn cool sitting with the boss!! 😎👨‍✈️

The tiny Maya Air planes we took to hop around Belize only sit 13 people total - including the pilot! On our first flight, from Placencia to Belize City, Dave and I got to sit in the very back row on a bench seat, and we had amazing views out the back door (prime seat for views if you ever fly on a plane this size, although with Maya you don’t get seat assignments - it’s just luck of the draw/boarding order).

On our second flight though, from Belize City to San Pedro, the flight was completely full, booked with 12 passengers, so I got picked to sit up front with the pilot (I must look trystworthy 😂) and it might have been one of the coolest experiences of my life!! The views were incredible and I spent the entire approx 15 min flight taking pictures and videos. These ‘out-the-window’ shots have no filter or color correcting by the way - the water is just that blue-green! 🌊

Have you ever flow on a plane this size?? Would you want to? I was worried about turbulence at first, since you tend to feel it more on a tiny plane, but luckily we didn’t have any weather so it was a relatively smooth ride! 🌬
