Today, we celebrate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and honor their resilience and contributions to our nation. Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the past, acknowledge the progress made, and recognize the work still needed to achieve true equality.

Representation matters. It’s crucial that our films and TV shows reflect the diversity of our society. Seeing diverse stories and faces on screen inspires and empowers future generations. We need to continue pushing for more authentic and inclusive representation in the media.
