Contributor spotlight!

Today we have Hollie Dugas.

Hollie Dugas lives in New Mexico. Hollie has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and for inclusion in Best New Poets. Most recently, her first collection of poetry was selected as a finalist for Gunpowder Press's Barry Spacks Poetry Prize.

Dugas's poem "Vows for Sinners" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Contributor spotlight!

Today we have Maria Dunlap Berlin.

Maria is a multidisciplinary artist currently cosplaying as a writer. As a graduating senior at CSUN, she hopes to write her first novel, make a dollar an hour more in a minimum wage job that offers no health insurance, and discover more of life’s ironies through writing and art.

Dunlap Berlin's prose "Crying and Thinking in a Stream of Cardigans" will be publishing in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Emma Williams.

Emma Williams is a poet, and writer, in Joseph Oregon. Her early life was spent on the West Coast where her love for the arts was nurtured. She was honored to work with Fishtrap, a creative writing nonprofit in Northeastern Oregon. She currently works as an editor for Voicemail Poems.

Williams's Microreviews "The Daughterland: Microreview", "A Crown of Flames: Microreview", and "God of the Air Horse: Microreview" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Bri Stokes.

Bri Stokes (she/her) hails from Los Angeles, on unceded Tongva land. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Epiphany, 45th Parallel, BuzzFeed, and elsewhere. Her debut chapbook, “A Throat Full of Forest-Dirt,” was released in 2023 through Bottlecap Press. She is the former Managing Editor of SKEW Magazine.

Stokes's poem "Marmalade Lament" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Tomas Baiza.

Tomás Baiza is the author of the novel, Delivery: A Pocho’s Accidental Guide to College, Love, and Pizza Delivery, and the collection, A Purpose to Our Savagery. His writing has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, the Best of the Net, and Best American Short Stories
anthologies.

Baiza's poem "Feeding Hand (Route 15, Ten Miles to Victorville)" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Phoebe Smith.

Phoebe is a Filipino-American writer with a great affection for the ocean and
space (and murder mysteries). She has a commitment to getting out the thoughts
in her head as soon and with as much effectiveness as possible. She also has a
Bachelor’s Degree in Screenwriting and Creative Writing.

Smith's prose "As Above So Below" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Veronica Lara Jacobo.

Veronica Lara Jacobo is a photographer, screenwriter, and filmmaker. Hailing from Maui, she traveled the treacherous Pacific Ocean by canoe to study Television Production and cinematography at CSUN. Lover of somber things and Taylor Swift, Veronica hopes her art tears your heart out while simultaneously making you cry from laughter.

Lara Jacobo's poem "Home" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Jason Lerner.

Jason Lerner is a seasoned research specialist and the author of some crime novels that haven’t been published yet. He thinks Loveless by My Bloody Valentine is a perfect album. This is his first semester at CSUN—go Matadors! Jason lives in Los Angeles with his wife and son.

Lerner's prose "Around Dusk" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Terry Trowbridge.

Terry Trowbridge is a Canadian poet, essayist, sociolegal researcher, and plum farmer. His work has appeared in over 150 journals, magazines, zines, and chapbooks. He is grateful to the Ontario Arts Council for funding his poetry during the polycrisis (will the polycrisis ever end)

Trowbridge's poem "The Plumber Diagnosis a Leak" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Kat Wiacek.

Kat is a studio artist with a BA in Fine Art from Cal State University, Northridge. Her works
explore portraiture to express the essence of peoples’ fragility and resilience. She is based in
the San Fernando Valley where she was born and raised.

Wiacek's art "ADHD" will be published in the upcoming fall 2024 issue.

Today we have Daniel Vallejo.

Daniel is a CSUN alumni with a Bachelor's Degree in Screenwriting and aims to further his education with a Master's Degree in Screenwriting. He hopes to impact people with his writing the same way many films impacted him throughout his life.

I.J. Dones graduated from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), with an English B.A. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dones aims to represent his culture through magic realism and
science fiction narratives. Presently, he’s a Consultant for the Radical Librarian Institute and Community Publishing Press at CSUN.
