So, I'm six months pregnant, but still working full-time, and my husband Dan's been super supportive — or at least I thought he was. We'd laugh about baby names, talk about trips we'd take with the baby, all that. It felt like we were in this together.
Then last night happened.
I bought this comfy dress because, honestly, pants are no longer my friend. I get home, and Dan goes, "Whoa, spending your paycheck on shopping? Better start saving with your next one though!" I thought he was joking. So I laugh, but then he gets serious. "You're not working after the baby, but you still need to cover half the bills, just like now." I FROZE. "Wait… what? You expect me to cover the bills when I'm home with the baby?" And he just looks at me, all smug, like I'm crazy. "You don't think I'm going to magically start earning twice as much, huh?!"
Later that night, things get worse. I come back from the bathroom, and there's a piggy bank on the table with a note: "START SAVING, MOMMY."
I could've lost it right there, but I stayed cool. If he wanted to split things 50/50, I'd arrange that.

I FIND MY PROM DRESS RUINED WITH BLACK PAINT ON THE MORNING OF PROM – BUT KARMA WAS NOT SLEEPING
I had been waiting for prom for years. It was a special moment for me — a chance to wear this beautiful baby-blue dress I bought in memory of my late mom. I saved for months to get it, and the excitement was real. My dad and I had planned the whole day — photos, a ride to the venue, everything.

Oh, let me tell ya, it was like something out of a bad dream! So, picture this: my daughter and I decided to go out for a nice lunch after she surprised me at my shop. However, after I accepted the farm, the lawyer said, "This is also part of your father's will," and handed me an ENVELOPE! My hands shook as I opened it, recognizing my father's handwriting, but inside were just a few random numbers. That's all! Everyone laughed, called me a loser, and left me with what they called a wreck of a property.
The next day, as I was cleaning out my father's old study, something caught my eye — a safe hidden behind one of the old bookshelves. Suddenly, everything clicked into place. MY NEIGHBORS CALLED ME AND COMPLAINED ABOUT MY ENTITLED IN-LAWS' ACTIONS – I GAVE THEM THE GREEN LIGHT TO PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE.
Recently, my husband got a new project in another state for one month, so we decided to go together as I work online. When we told my in-laws about it, they immediately offered to watch the house while living there.
Well, they always cross my and our family's boundaries, but at that moment it seemed to be a nice idea.
So, they moved in, we left, and in about a week, our neighbors (also our close friends) called us.
