Happy Monday, everyone! Start your mornings with these delightful breakfast ideas for kids. Remember to save this for later! 😍😊

1.) Peanut butter and cherry jam sandwich, turkey maple sausage, and strawberries

I’ve been making this almost every week since bananas tend to get overripe quickly this season. No complaints because we’re obsessed with bananas and anything with bananas! 😍

It seems like lunch packing season is over for many, but for some of us, it’s still ongoing for the next two+ weeks lol. We’ve got this, right? Absolutely! 😅🤘

So here’s a recap of my grade schooler's lunches from last week (extra snacks not included) I like to stick with what I have prepared eg freezer stash, and leftovers if there are any while also accommodating my daughters’ preferences:

Monday - air-fried gyoza dumplings, egg, and veggie fried rice, brownie bites, and grapes.

Tuesday - breakfast burrito (egg, tots, ham, cheese), more tater tots, orange slices, and grapes.

Wednesday - cucumber BLT sandwich, berries, and chocolate chip cookies.

Thursday - Filipino-style spaghetti, orange slices, and blueberries, a slice of sourdough garlic bread on the side (not shown).

Friday - Pepperoni and cheese toast (ciabatta bread), brownie bites, and blueberries.

These egg-free waffles have become one of my favorite waffle recipes & our favorite breakfast option due to their crispy outside and fluffy inside, making a delightful breakfast meal. 🧇🍓🫐

I love serving them with fresh berries and maple syrup. Last time, I doubled the batch to store some in the freezer, and they freeze exceptionally well! so, you can always prepare this in advance to get ahead of a busy week. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

1 cup of all-purpose flour
½ cup of whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt (optional)
3 tablespoons of sugar (I used pure cane but this is optional)
2 tablespoons of oil
1 cup of your preferred milk
⅓ cup of full-fat Greek yogurt

Instructions:

• Mix milk, Greek yogurt, and oil until smooth.
• Add flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir until the batter is smooth.
• Allow the batter to rest for at least 5 minutes.
• Preheat the waffle maker and lightly grease it. Pour ¼ cup of batter for each waffle. Cook until they turn golden brown and crispy. Serve & enjoy! 🥞

- reheating them in the air fryer is a great option for a crispier outcome
- I also split the batter in half last time, leaving one plain and mixing chocolate chips into the other half.

These were school lunches I packed for my 9 yo this week, and I thought I’d share them with you for some inspo. Snacks not I cluded.

M - (photo not shown) waffled ham & cheese sandwiches, yogurt w/ honey, cocoa granola & mixed fruits

T - ham & veggie fried rice & fried egg, berries

W - mac & cheese with bacon bits (I used my carrot mac & cheese recipe for this one minus the carrots 😅 you can find the recipe on the reel section of my feed), sweet potato turnovers & strawberries

TH - stir fried ramen noodles, english muffin cheese toast & strawberrries

We’ve been enjoying smoothies a lot lately, and whenever my toddler has any leftover fruits, I like to freeze them and use them later for smoothies.
As a result, we have accumulated a lot of half-eaten bananas in the freezer. Lol! 😁

Today, for lunch, Rue asked for noodles, and I decided to make a chocolate banana smoothie to go with it. Here’s the recipe (for 2 servings):
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients:
• 1 large banana (I used frozen chunks, so this is an estimate)
• 3 medjool dates, pitted
• 1 tbsp peanut butter
• 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tbsp h**p hearts (optional)
• 1/3 cup oat milk or milk of your choice
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instructions:
1. Add all the ingredients to a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Check the consistency and add more liquid or ice as needed.

We already planned to have pizza for lunch today (as requested by my 9 yo), but knowing that my toddler isn’t a pizza enthusiast and only likes the crust ends or plain crust, I put together a snacky meal for her to enjoy alongside her plain pizza crust. 😅

What I prepared for her:

Almond cocoa puff pastry knots
String cheese
Strawberries and grapes

Extra snacks:

Pretzels
Miniature apples

Question is, will I make them again/often? Probably not! They are cute and fun to create but take a lot of time! 🤣🫠

During our early BLW (baby-led weaning) days, one of our favorite go-to foods was the savory frozen vegetable muffin. These muffins are incredibly versatile, as they can be enjoyed at any meal, and are very simple to prepare. Plus, they freeze well, making them a great option for meal prep.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
savory frozen veggie muffins recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 cup mix frozen veggies, thawed, chopping is optional
* 1 egg, room temp
* 3 tbsps melted butter, room temp
* 1 cup self-rising flour
* 3/4 cups milk
* 1/3 cup shredded cheese (of choice)
* 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
* 1 tbsp h**p seeds/hearts
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
optional
* 1 tsp honey
* 1/2 tsp of each: garlic powder, onion powder
* 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instructions:
* preheat oven to 350F and line a muffin tin with muffin liners.
* in a large bowl, combine all the wet ingredients (egg, milk, melted butter and honey) and whisk together.
* add all of the remaining ingredients (flour, cheeses, mixed veggies and seasonings if using) and stir well to combine.
* scoop muffin batter into the muffin tin, and top with more cheese if desired.
* bake for 18-20 mins (do a toothpick test. it’s ready if the toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and dry)

fam dinner last night.
this meal was so easy to put together since I only needed 2 ingredients to make these shrimp in a blanket! One of those easy recipes I like to make with shrimp and (leftover) egg rolls or wonton wrappers.
I also made Chicken and Shrimp Siomai (not shown) to keep in the freezer to save me from those busy days/nights! 😍🙌🏻

Hi, Omie Family! It’s Dana from and I am here to take over ‘s IG for a few days.

A little about me, I was born and raised in the Philippines. I had my bachelor’s in mass communication with a specialization in Broadcasting, and I worked as a Medical assembler for a short time, before I became a full-time mom and a content creator. Everyone who knows me knows that cooking and food are my love language. I love to cook since I was a little girl because I always find cooking fun and therapeutic and I just love cooking for my family, especially for my kids.

Our love for Omie started a year ago when my then 7 y.o is in second grade. We struggled with her eating habits because she didn’t like to eat the foods at school or the foods I’d pack for her were already cold at lunchtime and fruits get soggy and mushy because the temp wasn’t cold enough to keep them fresh. That’s why I love the OmieBox. It is an insulated bento box that allows me to pack both hot and/or cold foods for my kids.
