The Kentucky Derby is one of my favorite days out of the year. I always enjoy watching and betting on the race as well as making yummy Horse themed foods. I was raised around horses 🐎 and watching them race is absolutely one of my favorite things. The derby always reminds me of my grandma who lived on a horse farm, rescued horses and even trained them in her younger years. Everything I have learned about horses in my life has been because of her. She’s been gone 5 years now, but she thankfully was able to be buried right next to her favorite horse on her horse farm. What is your favorite laundry detergent? No shade. Laundry is something we have to do whether or not we like it. What makes it more enjoyable is only having to do it once because all the stains were lifted. When you use you keep your whites white and your brights bright. Hey friend, how’s the New Year going? Let’s chat a minute about New Year’s Resolutions, Goals, words, whatever you want to call them.
I was watching someone’s stories yesterday and something was said that resonated with me, my friend said that she was watching a YouTube video about resolutions and the theory was that we shouldn’t be focusing on the resolutions we’ve had over the years because we tend to fail at them, instead, we should focus on and analyze what is it that caused us to fail and focus on how we can make our goals to get past those barriers.
For instance, say you’ve made a goal to get up and start your day earlier and you keep failing at doing that, what are the things causing those failures? Are you staying up too late? Are you procrastinating on doing the things you can in the evenings that would make mornings run smoother, etc. The video stated if we focus on adjusting those smaller barriers, we will be able to reach the bigger goal.
It’s really something to think about. What do you think?
How are you all doing? I mean how are you really doing? I know with the holiday season it can be a crazy and chaotic time, so much to do and it seems like so little time. Let’s try and keep in mind what this season is all about and just be present. It’s ok to slow down and take a break, friend. Here’s to hoping your Holiday Season goes wonderfully!
