Parker Jazz is a second year marketing major in the Honors Program at Florida State University. Beyond being a student, he is also an up and coming music producer, audio engineer, and recording artist. Born in New Orleans (Jazz is his actual middle name), Parker tends to include "jazzy" elements into music, inspired by the music of his birthplace. Despite being born in New Orleans, he spent the ma
jority of his youth on the west coast of Florida, where he was exposed to a wide variety of other musical influences: rap, rock, and reggae music. In middle school, Parker began writing parody raps about fast food restaurants, inspired by his love for rap music, and his appreciation for popular “drive thru rap videos” on Youtube. However, it wasn't until his senior of high school when he began producing instrumentals and recording lyrics. Since then, Parker Jazz has released over 50 instrumentals, and has production and engineering credits on over 20 other songs (while being a full-time student and a part-time employee at a local restaurant). While hip-hop/rap music has been the focus of Parker Jazz’s music, he has also created non-rap instrumentals for advertisements, films, and alternative artists.
