For all of you who are fans of the Warren magazines, Creepy and Eerie, I can not stress enough how you need to act now before these sell out.

A couple of years ago, Retro-a-gogo released the series of EC Comics Ghoulunatics ornaments of The Crypt keeper, the Vault Keeper, and the Old Witch. That set sold out in record time.

Now Retro-a-gogo has released Uncle Creepy and Cousin Eerie ornaments. After decades of no licensed merchandise based on these characters, here is an opportunity to have these two horror comic hosts to hang from your tree, or to display on the magnetized bases. Designed by the amazing Doug P’Gosh!

Order yours here while they are still available.

One of the best things about attending a small convention like When Monsterama Ruled The Earth 2024 is meeting new friends like Sam and Kevin from Ohio. Sam took this shot of me with Kevin dressed as Svengoolie last night.

Hanging with the amazing Martine Beswick, perhaps the most famous Bond Girl, having appeared in two James Bond films, From Russia with Love AND Thunderball. But for the horror movie fan in me, she will always be remembered as the dark side of Dr. Jekyll in Hammer Film’s Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, opposite Ralph Bates. There is something about her face that reminds me of my mom.
It was great to talk to her today about opera, art nouveau, and so much more. She will be speaking and answering questions at Monsterama in Atlanta!

Before he beats me to it, here’s a selfie with my friend, Sam. We are here in Atlanta at Monsterama this weekend and Sam Irvin has been posited selfies all day with his famous friends, so I thought I would post this of Sam with his unfamous friend. Sam not only makes genre movies like Elvira’s Haunted Hills, and produces brilliant art film like Gods and Monsters, he also writes incredible books, and directs Hallmark Christmas movies.

Friends,

I have been an avid supporter of silent film restoration projects for years because, well, I don't want more films to disappear like Lon Chaney's LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT did.

Right now, There is a film restoration project underway by Chris De La Vega in Colorado. And it is a film you all should care about. Chris is using source material from two prints to create the definitive restoration of Lon Chaney's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, complete with the technicolor scenes.

Chris is 8 days away from the end of the campaign and still needs to raise a bit over $5600. Please consider backing his campaign by dropping the $50 and get a BluRay copy of the film.

Thanks, Steve

Greetings Monster friends. In December, I made a change to the schedule for the MONSTERSCENE 30th Anniversary Kickstarter campaign I had originally planned to launch on December 15th. At the time, I said I was delaying the launch of the campaign until March 15th.

Well, here we are 12 days away from March 15th and I am still wishy-washy about it. Here's the deal. Every year, I am at Wonderfest, an amazing convention in Louisville, KY. It will be held the first weekend of June. June 4th and 5th to be exact. This convention was always important for MONSTERSCENE, and I really want to honor it. So I am going to move the campaign to May 15th and have it run for 30 days so that I can promote the campaign at Wonderfest.

For those of you who are wondering if I am flakey, just ask the people who know me well. Yes, I sort of am. But there is a real and very sentimental reason for this decision. The sci-fi/fantasy hobby industry was the main interest of my late publishing partner, Bill Harrison, and Wonderfest was his favorite event of the year, every year for close to three decades.

In the next couple of weeks, I will be posting the Kickstarter pre-launch page so interested fans can go there and sign up to be notified. I am still planning for a late August/early September release for the magazine.
