Raised in Logan, Utah, Parker Atkinson has been playing around with cameras for the better part of a decade. ns, one more light, or that one piece of fancy equipment calling his name. A real movie buff, Parker is obsessed with cinema and strives to document the memories of his clients in the most professional, cinematic, and gorgeous-looking way as possible. Above all, Parker considers himself a storyteller, and loves to help people tell their own. A creative writing and journalism major in college, he has dedicated his education and his profession to telling stories more effectively.

I got to spend the past weekend down in Querétaro, Mexico, shooting a mini-documentary. This was my first "international filmmaking" experience, and it was a dream come true, something I've wanted to do for a long time.

Golden hour just seems to last forever down there south of the border, and I got some shots I really like.

I was shooting for a Utah-based non-profit group called Cosecha, that leads expeditions to Mexico and partners with other NGO's to build aquaponic greenhouses for rural Mexican villages.

The people down there really poured their hearts out to us — I spent two nights on a couch in one of the villager's homes. These people don't have a lot, but they freely gave everything they could to us, cooking delicious food, offering up their homes, it was a fantastic experience, and one I won't soon forget.

My most recent video for Sandy City hit more than 20k+ views over the weekend, as many local cities and fire departments throughout the Salt Lake Valley shared and re-posted it, and it was picked up by local news channels as well.

Not bad for a single day's work! 👨🏻‍🚒🚒🔥
