R E A L W E D D I N G | Miles is not only terrible at keeping secrets, but Addison prides herself on being incredibly sluethy when it comes to secrets. She was convinced Miles wouldn’t be able to keep their engagement a secret but was quickly proven wrong by Miles’ elaborate Christmas-inspired engagement plan.

“He pulled off the most special surprise,” Addison said. “We have a tradition of going to see the Christmas tree at the Capital Hotel with our best friends; they texted and asked if we could go on the night of December 3 and booked a reservation for us at Table 42 at the Clinton Library.”

She didn’t see it coming when Miles popped the question in front of their favorite Christmas tree, but it wasn’t a surprise to herself or their friends and family who’d gathered to celebrate that Addison said yes.

R E A L W E D D I N G | Laura and Scott met for the first time in Memphis after a Grizzlies game. They exchanged numbers, but Laura never heard from him. As fate would have it, she ran into him with a mutual friend a while later. He explained that he didn’t catch her name and was too nervous to text her without knowing it. He asked her out the next day!

Laura and Scott’s proposal was an intimate affair—just the two of them—and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Laura always wanted a front porch swing, and on the day of their engagement, she arrived at Scott’s house to find that one had been installed. They sat on the swing and talked for a while, and it was there that Scott asked Laura to marry him!

R E A L W E D D I N G | Wynn and Samar’s love story is a testament to the power of connection, defying geographical barriers with a stroke of fate on Hinge back in 2020. Despite residing in separate states, their bond flourished through numerous FaceTime calls and heartfelt conversations before the eagerly awaited moment of their first face-to-face encounter. Upon meeting Wynn in person, Samar knew he was the one she had been looking for.

“It was our first in-person date that made me realize I found someone special,” Samar said. “The date lasted several hours. The time sort of disappeared, and we spent it just talking and laughing.”

Wynn popped the question while the couple were in Boston for a Red Sox game. As they walked through the gardens in the evening, Wynn decided it was the perfect time to ask Samar to marry him. Two strangers saw the entire proposal and sent the couple photos!

R E A L W E D D I N G | THE (SOUL)MATES✨ McKenna and Josie met during a recruitment event for new members of their sorority at the University of Arkansas. McKenna remembers laughing with Josie, and the two quickly became best friends.

“Looking back, there is no specific moment when I looked around and realized Josie was the one,” McKenna said. “From the second Josie and I became friends, I knew that I wanted her in my life forever. What that ‘forever’ looked like took time to grow into the forever we celebrated on our wedding day.”

Josie planned a proposal that was sure to be a home run! She got down on one knee in front of McKenna on home plate at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Later, McKenna proposed back to Josie at “Lighting of the Ozarks” in Fayetteville right when all of the Christmas lights turned on for the first time that holiday season.

R E A L W E D D I N G | and met on Tinder while attending two different colleges. Their conversations moved to Instagram before they eventually exchanged numbers, and their first date was at Mellow Mushroom in Little Rock🤍

“We ate and talked for a few hours, and a woman even came over to our table to tell us how cute we were,” Macie said. “It went so well that we decided to hang out again a weekend or two later…and now here we are nearly seven years later.”

The couple got engaged on a sunny evening in June. Jordan had a friend ask Macie to get drinks right after work while he organized everything with the photographer. He took her on a walk at the sculpture garden in downtown Little Rock. It was there that Jordan asked Macie to marry him✨

“Jordan said that he was going to wait and plan something for the weekend, but once he actually had the ring, he didn’t want to wait another day,” Macie said.

R E A L W E D D I N G | Born and raised in Jonesboro, they’ve known each other since they were babies. Their first real memories of one another are from first grade at South Elementary School, and in sixth grade, Robert was Windom’s first boyfriend🤍

“I would gush to my mother about how I would marry him one day,” Windom said. “We dated off-and-on for almost nine years in our 20s. I have so many memories of realizing he was ‘the one.’ Too many to count.” ✨

Robert proposed to Windom over the July 4th weekend at one of their favorite places in the world, Greers Ferry Lake. Windom was told they were going to dinner at a local restaurant only accessible by boat. The two hopped on their boat and sailed across the lake. 💍

“My hair was still wet from my shower, my nails were in need of a manicure and I was convinced we were getting engaged the following October,” Windom said. “Instead, Robert asked me to marry him right there in the middle of the lake. I don’t remember all of the words he said, but I know they were the best I’ve ever heard.” 🤍

R E A L W E D D I N G | Julia and Alex met during their freshman year of college in 2018 and quickly became friends. At the time, the two were serving on the creative team for Cross Church College and eventually developed feelings for one another. Originally, they had decided to stay friends despite their feelings, not wanting to ruin what they had. Alex eventually moved to New York and the two remained long-distance friends until his return in 2022.

Back from the Big Apple, Alex began plotting for the perfect time to ask his long-time pal for a first date.

“[That] August, I needed help with a project, so I reached out to him,” Julia said. “That was his ‘in.’”

By November, Alex had asked Julia to be his girlfriend, and within the year, plans for a wedding were underway.
