Hey Co-Workers! On this Saturday send a congratulations to our co-host for being a part of the Women’s Economic Mobility Hub! CONGRATULATIONS SIS! We are proud of you.
About: WFA commissioned a report in 2018, Economic Indicators for Women in Arkansas: State, County, & Region, which showed that the eastern edge of the state has both the highest rates of women living below the poverty line and the most women owned businesses. The Women’s Economic Mobility Hub will work to leverage those findings by applying a racial and gender lens to a program designed specifically to support Black women owned businesses as vehicles for economic mobility.
The WEM Hub is designed to support Black women-owned businesses by providing technical assistance along with additional resources, including $5,000 in unrestricted grant funds to help scale their businesses.
An ideal WEM Hub participant will be able to commit to a six-month program in which Black women entrepreneurs can access tailored support services through a combination of online trainings and in-person meetings, including:
Expert advice from leading industry professionals surrounding topics such as accounting and financial management, business development, legal services, and more;
Ongoing mentorship support and counsel;
Peer to peer learning sessions;
Communications, public relations, and marketing training;
Leadership skill development; and
Opportunity to establish a relationship with participating financial institutions.

Back to regular schedule next week.
Evening Co-Workers! Alright talk to us. Have you ever had to tell someone this? If you’ve been told this how did you receive it?
Happy Wednesday Co-Workers! Today’s quote from host is a reminder to check in with yourself and make sure you’re doing your own work to recognize behaviors and patterns that keep leading you down the same and/or familiar roads. Self -awareness along with intentional actions to change works wonders.
Don’t forget to subscribe and check out the latest episode.
Happy Friday Co-Workers! Each Friday the hosts will share an unpopular opinion. So today our host Tina kicks it off and she’s shaking the table. 😂
“When we have pleaded for understanding, our character has been distorted; when we have asked for simple caring, we have been handed empty inspirational appellations, then stuck in a far corner. When we have asked for love, we have been given children. In short, even our plainer gifts, our labors of fidelity and love, have been knocked down our throats.”
