A nice day is forecasted for today. Temps will be in the upper 80s today. Thanks to the cold front that came through, the humidity will feel lower. We’ll also see some gusty winds today. Enjoy the weekend especially in the mornings for now.

A tropical disturbance in the Gulf will bring rain chances to our area today. The chance is 50% but it will be hit or miss if it does happen. High temps will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. A cold front will come in tomorrow knocking out this humidity. You will feel the difference over the weekend during the morning as morning temps will be in the 60s.

Today we will see a 50% chance of rain with temperatures in the lower to mid 90s. The heat index will make it feel like it’s in the lower 100s. There is a chance of rain for the first half of the week. We are looking at a 70% chance of rain so far for tomorrow. I’ll keep an eye on things and update the page as needed.

Good morning everyone. Today we will see a 30% chance of rain. Temps will be in the lower to mid 90s with a heat index around 100. If you’re traveling to the coast I would prepare for some rain. There is a disturbance along the upper Texas coast that will bring some heavy rains.

4:40pm radar update. It’s high school football time here in Texas. Here is an expanded radar view showing a few showers off towards the west around Lampasas. We still do have a very small chance that a shower could pop up. Otherwise it should be mostly clear tonight with temps in the lower 70s. Enjoy the games tonight and everyone travel safely.

A 30% chance of rain is possible today. Highs will be in the lower to mid 90s with a heat index near 101. If you’re heading out to any games tonight then we will still have a 30% chance for rain with temps in the lower 70s. A burn ban remains in effect at this time for Bell County.

Good morning everyone. A 30% chance of showers are possible once again today. We are already seeing some rain on radar this morning south of Killeen. More showers are off to the south with some lightning in it. These will be hit or miss showers today. Temps will be in the lower to mid 90s with a heat index around 101. Today we will see sunny skies with temps in the mid to upper 90s. Heat index will make it feel like it’s in the lower 100s. Looking ahead to this week though we will see normal temps for this time of year. Temps will be in the mid to upper 90s and we will even throw in some small rain chances. A HEAT ADVISORY is in place for Bell County today. Temps will be in the lower 100s, but the heat index will make it feel like it’s 110. There is a very slight chance of an isolated storm to pop up later this evening. We may not see anything but the chance is there. Remember if your outdoors then take frequent breaks and stay hydrated. Any outdoor animals need plenty of fresh water and shade. A burn ban also remains in place until we see beneficial rainfall.

EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING was extended once again as high temps will get up to around 106. The heat index will make it feel like it’s over 110. Remember if you have any outdoor animals then they will need plenty of fresh water and shade. A burn ban remains in place as dry conditions continue. No outdoorb burning is allowed and do not throw cigarette butts out the window. One spark will make a fire grow and spread very quickly in these dry conditions.

The EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING continues today as temps will be around 105 today. The heat index will climb to around 110. If you’ll be outside remember to take frequent breaks and stay hydrated. Any outdoor animals need to have plenty of shade and fresh water. A burn ban also continues for Bell County as fire conditions remain high.

AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING will be in place for Bell County beginning Tuesday at noon. Dangerous heat is expected as the heat index will be around 110. Extreme heat and humidity will increase the potential for heat related illnesses especially if you work outdoors. Take precautions and stay hydrated.

Some showers and storms are pushing through the county this morning producing heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and maybe some small hail just north of I-14 around FM439 east of Killeen. This is not severe and will continue to watch as more showers move in today.

Heads up southern Bell County you may see some small hail as radar is indicating there could be some around the Youngsport area along 2484 heading towards the Stillhouse Lake area.

The line of storms has entered Bell County and is pushing eastward. Right now the line is over Killeen with some gusty winds and lightning but again is not severe. Heads up if you are driving on I-14 and this will approach 35 soon.

Good afternoon Bell County, we are currently monitoring a line of showers and storms just to the west of Bell County. This storm has produced some small hail in Burnet County and has quite a bit of lightning with it as well. This will approach the area pretty soon so just wanted to give @followers a heads up.

We are seeing some showers entering Bell County from the south moving towards the north. There are heavier showers just to the south in Williamson County that should move over our county pretty soon.

Rain continues this morning across Bell County but the good news is that it's going to clear out pretty soon. Minor street flooding is possible, especially in poor drainage areas. A cold front arrives later today dropping us to the 40's with some gusty winds.

🔥🔥 HEAT ADVISORY 🔥🔥 Happy first day of fall everyone. Summer temps will be hanging around this weekend as we will see temps in the upper 90s to lower 100s. A Heat Advisory will begin at noon today and lasting until 7pm tomorrow night. Chance of rain and a cold front is in the forecast for Monday.
