Sanctuary of Madonna della Corona, an impressive cliffside sanctuary, is a pilgrimage site in Italian municipality of Verona in Veneto, Italy.

Initially a Hermitage location in 12th Century CE, first church was built into the rock in 15th Century CE. From 1437 CE, small church and hermitage were linked to “Commenda of the Knights of Jerusalem”, later called “Rhodos Knights” and then “Order of Malta”.

It has incredibly preserved an intact structure as a magical, fairy-tale place, capable of taking anyone back in time, to the Middle Ages.

This dress has been reassembled from approximately seven thousand beads (no record mentioned how long the reassembling took) found in an undisturbed burial of a female contemporary of King Khufu.

Although their string had disintegrated, a few beads still lay in their original pattern on and around the mummy, allowing modern archaeologists to accurately reconstruct what it had once looked like.

This beadnet dress is constructed of faïence cylinder beads (field number 33-3-34) and 27 faïence floral pendants, reconstructed by Sheila Shear in 2001.

Old Kingdom, 4th Dynasty, reign of King Khufu, c. 2551-2528 B.C.
From Giza, tomb G 2342 D (now G 5520 D); 1933: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition. Now in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. 27.1548.1
