During set up last night at Parke Heritage, the official scorekeeper and I had a lot of time to chat about the history of Parke Heritage. Then, Coach Rich Shelsky had the opportunity to chat with Kevin about the game ahead. He spoke of Senior Renn Harper who was out from a knee injury last week and how they had something special planned.

Since it was Senior Night, Parke Heritage Junior Isaac Pickel would throw the tip to Renn for a final time on PH court.

Renn took position on the court and had the opportunity to chat with Linton’s Conner Daily on the court as Isaac Pickel and Linton’s Jackson Miller proceeded with tipoff. After Renn received the tip from Pickel, he threw it out of bounds and the whistle blew.

Senior Renn Harper then received a standing ovation from both sides of the court. Linton-Stockton Head Coach Matt Britton was the first to shake Renn’s hand and a hug of encouragement before he headed down the Parke Heritage sideline. I was able to capture this video from our side of Press Rox as the Parke Heritage bench in congratulated Renn on a great career.

We just wanted to share this moment of sportsmanship in a small video (since we were not able to share this last night). There was not a dry eye in the house, and if you listened - you could hear it in Kevin's voice.

Many thanks to AD/Coach Rich Shelsky for alerting us ahead of the game as to what to expect to be able to share this with all of you at home.
