Iowa-Missouri Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Thank you for your leadership and ministry!

Dear IA-MO Conference Family,

We want to share some important news with you. Our colleague and friend, Rob Alfalah, has decided to resign from his position as Conference Executive Secretary. Rob has been a valued member of our team, and while we will miss his contributions, we support him in this new chapter of his journey. He will conclude his service with us sometime before the end of 2024, with the exact date to be determined in the coming weeks.

Regarding his decision, Rob shared: "There are no negative reasons for my resignation. It's been on my mind for quite some time. I'm praying about my next steps, and I ask that you pray for me as I make my next decision."

Conference President Lee Rochholz has expressed gratitude for Rob's contributions, stating, "I am thankful for Rob's work in this role, especially his leadership of the Camp Meeting Committee, his team approach, and working with our office staff as we implemented this new committee structure. Although he will be missed in the office, we understand his desire and passion to be more involved in direct mission and evangelism work."

The Conference leadership is now beginning the process of finding a suitable replacement. President Rochholz and Conference Treasurer LaQuita will evaluate the job description and formalize a document for the role. They plan to include other voices in the selection process, which is yet to be determined. The position is described as a "highly office-driven, administrative role that requires high organizational skills and attention to detail."

Rob and President Rochholz request prayers during this transition: for Rob as he decides on his next steps and for the Conference leadership as they search for his replacement.

In his message to the employees, Rob expressed, "It's been a pleasure serving with each of you in this conference, and I pray for continued blessings and success as God moves each of you and your families forward in His calling."

God Bless,
IA-MO Conference Administration
