Great to watch Daytona Beach Search & Rescue lifeguards saving some lives today. Few folks started their walk to Davy Jones Locker before realizing the depth and waves weren’t amenable to sustained life. Really impressed with the initial guard responding who picked up their distress from a couple hundred yards away.

Story from the Associated Press talking about the expertise of infield care center evaluations of NASCAR drivers with the capabilities and limitations of motorsports medicine. The reference is the Erik Jones crash at Talladega Superspeedway with one of the best IFCC teams in motorsports from UAB Medicine. They did a fantastic job which has been noted by the driver and Legacy Motorsports.

Erik Jones suffered a compression fracture in a lower vertebra in a wreck at Talladega and will not drive this weekend in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway.
